Give this comic a chance next time youre at a shop. Daredevil is one of Marvels greatest characters, and Soule is doing him some justice with a unique story. With a good artistic team of Morgan and Milla, this is a rock-solid comic deserving of a read. Read Full Review
I am mad I was ever excited for this story arc. At least we get Ron Garney back on art in another month. Read Full Review
Not even the return of Foggy and Matt's friendship is enough to put out this grease fire. Read Full Review
Soule’s Daredevil is really hitting it’s stride as Morgan delivers the best art yet and Kingpin, Legal, and Tombstone continue to try to take Matt down. You have no idea how great it was to see Matt and Doggy rekindle their friendship
This was sweet!
After losing the appeal Matt looks for the Supreme Court, but the only way he has a chance to do so is if he’s got his best friend’s help, Foggy Nelson. They both have a conversation that is shortly interrupted by Tombstone, who get’s quickly and cleverly dealt with, and at the end they finally get over their differences after Matt finally says he’s sorry. Another well-written issue that has me excited for what’s coming next.
I still don’t like the art though.
Two pages in and I stopped reading, looked at the page and asked myself: "Who they heck is drawing this?" This is probably the worst drawn issue of the whole series. I usually don't get bummed over art too much, but this was just a lot different than all the art that came before. Other than that, this arc is featuring a lot more Matt and a lot less Daredevil. It's not necessarily a bad thing. The story is good, the stakes are high and Matt and Foggy are back on the case. I am actually really pumped to see how this arc ends and how Fisk will play a role in Daredevil issues to come. Would have been at least an 8 if not for the art.
Foggy and Matt reuniting might've garnered a better rating but the art just brought this issue down.
The art really detracts from a decent story, sloppy and messy lines, not to my taste.
I found a typo in it which broke immersion.
Art: 3/5
Story: 3/5
Total: 6/10
This one wasn't all that great. The art has gone downhill and the plot is starting to drag. It's also ridiculous that Foggy does a 180 just because of a half-assed apology, especially considering Matt attracts trouble seconds after reconnecting with Foggy. Why would he take him back?
Matt reconciles with Foggy as he faces legal reverses. At least Tombstone's pathetically easy to fend off! The reconciliation scene is great, but it absolutely did not need a full issue. The Tombstone fight is particularly forced. I *really* feel condensing #23-24 into one script and then passing it to a better artist would have been the right choice here.
10.0 for the story, -5.0 for the art. Listen I know it takes a lot talent to be an artist, but this is not he kind of art I am expecting from a title like this. I hope this art team is not around for long, it really takes away from the story.
