As heroes, the Fantastic Four specialize in dire cosmic situations, but it has seldom looked as dire as it does right now. Their homesboth of themhave been destroyed and the wrath of the Griever makes it look as if the universe may be next. Of course we know it wont come to thatbut will the FF actually dare to do what they seem to be about to do (something theyve done once before) to stop the Griever? For January it will be a high-stakes situation to start the 60th Anniversary year of The Worlds Greatest Comic Magazine! Read Full Review
Franklin Richard's losing his powers is one of the best decisions Slott has made with the FF. Read Full Review
It seems like every odd number issue is a good enough read to not want to pull my hair out. Slott is relying too much on the past 26 issues to push a story forward. After the Fantastic Four deal with Perpetua, I mean Knull, excuse me, Griever. . . they're all starting to look the same. I hope we can look forward and jump into more stories that Slott has set up rather than mingle around smaller fillers. Read Full Review
The shoe finally drops and the Griever attacks. But the FF have plans. I admire the way the script is structured, though the prose doesn't thrill me. On the art, I have the reverse impression: A lot of strong pages, but no unifying stylistic consistency. And I do like the plot, particularly the finale. It's a really good comic, but also definitely an improvable one.
Never trust editors, particularly when they say things like, "Oh, we've got one full-time artist now."
They are building the Griever back up to be a good villain. I like this book ever issue 25 its been much better.
The story is enjoyable so far but it does need some picking up soon. The art change between Silva and Ramirez and Carlos doesn't help. I thought we were over this crap. Can we get one artist to do 5 issues straight please? it's killing this book.
I mean, this is fine, but not great. It could be with a better writer, the ideas are there.
