The Unbelievable Gwenpool series was great. This miniseries is very different.
When you're setting out to piss off the most powerful heroes around, you might want to consider if you want to cross one who's IMMORTAL. It's ok---this issue: GWENPOOL DEFEATS THE HULK! Solicit text would not lie!

This issue is giving me hope that we'll see more of Gwen in another series down the line. Perhaps that is merely wishful thinking. Only time will tell. Read Full Review
Gwenpool Strikes Back #3 is an overall brilliant issue, giving fans the best that Gwen has to offer, alongside some dramatic writing and colorful moments. Read Full Review
You need to buckle in for Gwenpool because this is a ride with some awesome whiplash. Enjoy the jokes as they come in breaking down comics, characters, and your occasional cheap visual gag! Read Full Review
This series is just pure fun. It's very much a grab any edition series too which I like in it's accessibility. Not everyone has the time, or patience, to devote to a long running series. Here you can either collect every issue and read them in sequence as the greater story arc it is… or just as easily pick up a copy from somewhere in the midst of the run and enjoy that portion of the story as if it was a one shot. Having said all that, I'd recommend grabbing them all and certainly this one should be picked up and read if you want a good giggle with and at the Marvel line up. Read Full Review
"Gwenpool Strikes Back" #3 is a meta comic that felt fresh and original, and was a whole lot of fun to read. Highly recommended! Read Full Review
Gwenpool Strikes Back #3 loads fresh outrages into Gwen's quest to make herself popular. The protagonist (and the creators) again wobble on a tightrope between being crass and charming. I think most Gwenpool fans, like me, are rooting for her to fall firmly onto the "charming" side, but the balancing act is an engrossing adventure all by itself. Read Full Review
A fine and relatively fun issue that reinforces the idea that this character has probably worn out her welcome and is now just running in place. Read Full Review
Gwenpool Strikes Back (2019-) #3 continues Gwenpool's quest for relevancy in the Marvel Universe. The art and coloring are great, and the idea behind the story is fun, but the characterization for Gwenpool doesn't exactly hit the mark. Read Full Review
With Gwenpool trying every idea she can to boost her sales and keep a solo series, some of those ideas are bound to fail. So far, theyve failed on the page, but the execution of the actual story has been good. This time, however, things didnt work out in either situation. But theres always next month. Read Full Review
Gwenpool Strikes Back derails into a chaotic mess with its third issue. Read Full Review
I don't know, I liked this a lot. Maybe it's because Gwenpool's powerset is legitimately interesting, and the idea that she's forced to act in a way that she loathes herself for is pretty good pathos for a character... As long as, by the end of this, her self loathing goes somewhere. This book is also funny. My favorite joke is that Carol's bikini is just her Ms. Marvel costume. But still, this series relies on people looking past its surface level of cringe, which can be hard for some.
I love a lot of the jokes and the art continues to impress. But I'll admit it doesn't add up to a very satisfying story.
Okay. Not lower because I had some good laughs out of it but... Do you remember I felt as I was getting used to the pace of this last month? Nope. It lost me again.
I'm sorry.
This book only makes me wish the Unbelievable Gwenpool, or even West Coast Avengers, lasted longer.
I’m trying but the cringe is eating away at my soul. There were some good moments I guess.

What the hell did I just read? This book is going all over the place and not in a good way! Was thinking about reading some of Gwenpool’s past material but maybe not anymore! Art is pretty good. Dialogue is just dreadful to read. At least it’s not the “creepy men reading and writing these young characters”
As a huge fan of The Unbelievable Gwenpool, I can’t express how much each issue feels like a knife to the chest. I’m only still here to see where she ends up at the end of this. This is damaging Gwenpool’s character more than Civil War II damaged Captain Marvel’s Character. Please let it be over soon.
