I read some issues of his run and it was the best I read of Hulk. I see you read it since 2019 and didn't regret it. It's really nice to see.
HULK LEGENDS, PETER DAVID & DALE KEOWN, REUNITE!
In his twelve-year stint on THE INCREDIBLE HULK, Peter David redefined the Green Goliath for generations of fans and creators. Artist Dale Keown drew some of that run's most beloved and influential issues. Now the pair return to their incredible collaboration for a special oversized one-shot issue! Bruce Banner is tired of being the Hulk. Heck, he's tired of being. But just when he's about to lose all hope, a miracle occurs: a fight worthy of the Incredible Hulk.
Rated T+
Peter David's natural feel for the character, as well as the history these two share, shows throughout each page. David beautifully recaps Hulks history, evolution, and mental anguish all in one issue while catching new readers up with the character and gives them an amazing jumping on point moving forward. It is a very different take on the character compared to Immortal Hulk, and provides an excellent romantic contrast to that series. Read Full Review
The comic is an emotional one that needs a trigger warning to start. It'll impact you at an emotional level and that's a good thing. When art hits you at that level, it's a success. The Incredible Hulk: Last Call #1 is a comic you may want to grab a box of kleenex while reading. These two are still a hell of a team and hopefully we get some more down the road. Read Full Review
This serves as a nice reminder of why Bruce Banner and Betty Ross had such a strong bond. It's a somewhat meandering reminder of Hulk's history honoring the character and his legacy. Read Full Review
Though not perfect by any means,Last Call gives industry legend Peter David the last shot at the Hulk he never got. It's a nostalgia trip to be sure, but you could do a hell of a lot worse. Read Full Review
Peter David and Dale Keown are awesome! I'm really impressed, what a brilliant story... It's cool in every possible way.
What a great one shot!
Incredible Hulk: Last Call met and surpassed my high expectations with beautiful art and a great, emotional story. I haven’t read Peter David’s Incredible Hulk run because of its sheer length, but this one-shot might have convinced me to read it one day. Loved the art as well
This was surprisingly great. I didn't expect much from a one-shot, but this was totally worth the read.
It's "It's A Wonderful Life" starring Bruce Banner, and that's not at all a bad thing.
Pretty okay!
