Invaders continues to be one of Marvel's best books, and issue nine is no exception. As the story takes a crucial turn, readers will no doubt be on the edge of their seat to see what happens next! Read Full Review
Armed with burly action and deep emotions Invaders #9 continues to keep the old war heroes in the thick of it. Read Full Review
The book jumps from one scene of characters arguing with another to the next, offering us very little to keep us engaged in the plodding narrative. Read Full Review
The plot thickens...one of the better issues.
When this series was first announced, I never expected it to have a plot this complex, this many convincing moral dilemmas, the great art, and the drama all rolled into one, yet Invaders by Chip Zdarsky and Butch Guice is just that. Zdarsky continues to be one of Marvel’s most underrated writers
So much drama.
Solid issue.
I dig the fundamental themes, particularly Namor's torment. But it's buried under a lot of sound and fury I don't enjoy; at several points, the words and art both seem to be hindering the story more than telling it.
