IRON FIST: HEART OF THE DRAGON #5 is the ultimate hype building issue of the series. Read Full Review
Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon #5 ramps up to what should be a wild ride of a finish but if you haven't hopped on the train yet either start from the beginning or hold out for the trade to see what the hype is about. Read Full Review
Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon #5 hasn't let off the gas since issue #1 and this penultimate issue is no exception. It would have served better to get the villain reveal sooner and add some motivation for his realm-ending plan, but you can't argue it hasn't been exciting every page along the way. Read Full Review
Hama always knows how to tell an enjoyable story, so I'm sure he's saving the best for last. As for Watcher's destructive and great illustrations, they speak for themselves. Do yourself a favor -- if you're not reading Heart of the Dragon already, go get it. Read Full Review
Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon #5 is an investing martial arts comic that has the hallmarks of an event. The reader may find themselves losing much of the story at times, but there are lasting consequences within this series. The fight scenes are where the issue truly shines as it allows for the characters to express themselves through more than just dialogue. The art is astonishing and captures the combat expertly. But it may just require the pace to slow down just slightly so that the impact of what is at stake can truly be assessed. Read Full Review
It's here Heart of the Dragon begins to collapse under the weight of its ambitious plot and grandiose ensemble. Read Full Review
I would recommend this to people who have already been following the story and want to see what happens. Read Full Review
I'll check out the last issue to see how things end up, but I'd probably only recommend this for hardcore Iron Fist fans or Bronze Age nostalgic's. Read Full Review
This has been a solid story and it appears will have a significant effect on the future of some of the characters.
I do give it a low grade but its not bad at all. Its just not anything that good that makes you want to re read it. It was an enjoyable but it this point im mainly in it because I need to see how it ends.
This is fine, but I'm not engaged here.
Iron Fist and pals team up with Okoye to fight Evil Abe Sapien, but only after Quan Yin vouches for the Wakandan's character and lays out the next plot point in laborious hand-holding exposition. Plus there's a cliffhanger in the final pages that I find more annoying than intriguing. My dissatisfaction with this script extends well beyond disliking the prose, though I certainly also do that. The art's pretty sweet, though. And I do like the absurdity of an all-powerful demon lord baddie referring to his sidekick as "Brenda."
