We're sad to see Meet the Skrulls go, but man, what a ride. Read Full Review
The conclusion for Meet the Skrulls is an outstanding wrap-up of everything that was constructed over the five issues of the series and, as a gift, Thompson gave Marvel a new set of already beautifully developed characters to work on. To anyone who hasn't picked up this series, this is the moment I tell you to do it and guarantee you won't regret it. After having read the Secret Invasion event back in 2009, I say confidently that Meet the Skrulls, as its title suggests is, at last, a proper introduction to the culture and the struggle of this classic Marvel alien race. Meet the Skrulls has been a truly terrific ride, from start to finish. This final issue is a satisfying conclusion to the Warners story, as the four remaining members of the family reclaim their own identities. Read Full Review
I will give this book credit, before I started reading this run, could careless about Skrulls. Now I will admit now I am looking forward to next time we see a Skrull, mainly Alice. The issue isn't too complicated, mainly just straight to the point. And the art really works well with the book. Book was good amount of action as well! Read Full Review
Marvel has been putting out some lovely little mini-series lately. I loved the Winter Soldier mini-series that ended a few months ago and now Meet the Skrulls #5 wraps up another thrilling mini-series. The creative team did a great job of creating a captivating story of Skrull spies and built it into a story about a family finding out who they are. It is an engaging story about what family is and finding out who you are when you are always somebody different. Great work from everybody on board and this is something everyone should check out. Excellent ending. It wraps up the story but leaves a thread for the possibility of more at a later date. The butterflies are a nice touch to bring it full circle.
Great book!
Sounds like at least Alice will be back judging by the goodbye page
There's a dark inevitability to this conclusion, but also a great deal of hope. It took me a long time to get on board with these characters, but I can root for them in the end. Turning them loose into the wider Marvel world feels like a very good step.
A solid ending. This book was fun while it lasted.
Just as I was getting interested!
