This is a rare complaint from me, but Midnight Suns feels like it's moving a bit too quickly. Read Full Review
Midnight Suns #3 is a contrived, convenient, mildly convoluted, mediocre comic. The plot doesn't feel big or impactful, random developments simply appear to give the Midnight Suns something to do, and the art lacks any mood or element of fear for a horror-ish comic. Read Full Review
this is just dumb but it's fun at the same time. The Magik and Nico part was nice.
I wasn't feeling this as much as the previous two issues, though I will say that the new costumes for everyone at the end all look super cool and they're probably the best thing about this miniseries so far. I also just wanted to ask why would Kolvarr (the guy from The Children of Mhuruuk) hit the "s" in "dimension" like he would the "s" in "belongs?" He would be doing a "sh" sound during in the word, "dimension," so that doesn't really make sense to me unless there's a different way to pronounce "dimension" that I don't know about.
Not sure what anyone liked about this issue. It's crap. Starting with the art. The art was horrible. We start with Harkness and then fight with trolls and then meet Dr. Strange Tony Stark. There was no need for this really. Him being a Stark was completely unnecessary. They said earlier on that the air was toxic, so Tony Strange builds them suits that reveal a bunch of skin. It makes no sense, except that now they have matching uniforms, which in reality was the only reason. It was hookey. I hope it gets better.
