One World Under Doom #8is full of carefully laid plans, epic spectacle and dazzling art, but it hits hardest in the quiet moments between two key characters, and in that one unexpected, shockingly unbelievable final page reveal. Read Full Review
One World Under Doom #8 delivers all the spectacle and emotional weight expected from a penultimate chapter, combining jaw-dropping visuals with one of Doctor Doom's most personal confrontations yet. As the penultimate issue, One World Under Doom #8 does a brilliant job of setting the board for a thrilling, potentially earth-shattering conclusion. You might be tired of the sheer scale, but you absolutely won't want to miss how this beautiful, brutal brawl finally wraps up. Read Full Review

Even flash freezes eventually melt, but this plot may never thaw out of repetition. Read Full Review
Plot
Doctor Doom has the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four overwhelmed. Not only do the heroes together fail to defeat him, but Reed Richards' strategy as SCIENTIST SUPREME almost kills him in the attempt.
Meanwhile, Valeria Richards contacts her godfather Doom on the Astral Plane to try to convince him to stop all this desire to be emperor and prove to everyone that he's better than her and that they were all wrong. Doom sends her back to Earth and ignores all of her requests.
Doctor Doom launches an attack using fractured magical energy crystals, causing all the heroes to fall. What he didn't realize is that Valeria was there. She falls mortally wounded, decapitated, and stabbed by several energy fragments. Do more
Yawn.
