Meaning, when they went back in time, that WAS their past. But just them being their altered the future, changed events, and made it so that their future was not only different, but that they never time traveled and never had the alien invasion they originally went back for. Our 3 heroes are now out of time and not erased. So, we now have an alternate timeline AND the original timeline's JJJ, Theresa, and Spidey. So that's how we can have two Peters there. I hope that kinda made sense....

May 14, 2018I hope we can find a way of keeping this "outside of time" Spidey. I think that would be cool. But, I'm sure it will all get fixed somehow. The art is fanatic and does a great job paying homage to the old Amazing Spider-Man while interesting key new elements to the characters. Pick this book up! I have no doubt you're gonna love it! May 09, 2018So far, I like the set up for this arc more than I did the last one. It’s got just enough twists and turns that aren’t just there for shock value and they’re satisfying pay offs for loose threads left over from Amazing Fantasy. I look forward to seeing what happens with this so strangely lucky but tortured Peter. Having Adam Kubert on art is definitely a plus, but I hope the visuals start to match the tone of the dialogue better. Definitely follow up on the series if you enjoyed Amazing Fantasy, because this is surely it’s second part and builds off of it well. Read Full Review

I honestly can't stop praising this arc. This series has become the #1 Spidey book for me. It's just exactly what it should be and knows what it is without trying too hard. The art is always good and this issue keeps the success going.

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten. If you haven't been following along lately, let me get you caught up quick. The Tinkerer set up aliens to come to the planet and the only way to stop them was with time travel. If they go back to one of the Tinkerer's first bank robberies, they would be able to get the plans to stop the alien invasion..... somehow.... So, the individuals tasked to help stop the invasion were Teresa (a spy), J Jonah Jameson, and Spidey. When they travel back in time, they enlist the help of a young Nick Fury and rookie teenage Spidey to help them get the intel to stop the invasion more

Chip Zdarsky continues his excellent run on this series as Spidey, Teresa, and Jonah are again hurtled through time, now to see the consequences of their last interaction with this universe's Peter Parker. This issue is fun and exciting, and Zdarsky is doing a nice job with Jonah's characterization, as he realizes Spider-Man is an entirely different thing than the imaginary villain he has been waging war against for years. The Kubert art isn't as sharp and refreshing as Joe Quinones' on the last arc, but his style seems to be getting a bit rougher and maybe a bit more interesting. Great book!

Peter and friends actually believed Dr. Doom when he said their time-travel adventure would have no repercussions. Ha! Now they've landed in the "present" of the timeline they messed up, and it's ... well ... messed up. It features some intriguing plot twists and an excellent character moment for Jonah. The art puts a ceiling on my rating, though. It had fine bones but the finish is terribly rough. I'm an MU reader and I'm wondering what this issue looks like on paper. There's a healthy chunk in the middle that feels like half-pages floating in gigantic black borders; how's that look in print?
