The vast majority of Runaways #24 focuses on Nico and Karolina, in a plotline that's equal-parts action-packed, silly, and genuinely endearing. Read Full Review
Runaways #24 is just plain old fun, and sometimes that's all you need in a comic. Read Full Review
A fun and focused issue gets about as adorable and heart-warming as modern comics get, and I love it! Read Full Review
While I thought the girl's superhero suits were a bit lackluster, Andres Genolet and Matthew Wilson are an incredible pair to give life to Rainbow Rowell's vision, and I'm excited to see the big reveal get some action next issue. Read Full Review
This book could be sold on its beautiful art alone, but the story within is absolutely cute and adorable as well. Peak teen drama that's actually readable. Rainbow Rowells method of storytelling in regards to the Runaways has been unorthodox, but that approach has paid off. Its little one offs like this that build character for two relatively lesser characters in the grand scheme of the Marvel Universe. I want to see more of them together and hopefully this new upcoming Doc Justice arc gives that to us. Read Full Review
The Runaways #24 are dealing with a lot of changes and challenges in their lives, and that's not all that unusual. But at least this issue gave them a chance to work some of it out. Read Full Review
Well this seems to be a recap issue. But done nicely. The art was very good with great scenes. But someone who has been reading all of the issues, will agree that this run feels stale now and not as good as when the title first came out in mid 2000's. Now that we have a recap issue, hopefully we get a better story. Would recommend this issue to anyone who has either not been reading the recent issues or someone who wants to jump on the book. Ugh I just love this comic it’s so good.
Nico and Karolina sneak off to be heroes. Their night is nearly a bust, but they get stuck into an exciting fight in the final act. The action (which was nearly overdue) is handled well. Plus, the fight puts big plot developments on the horizon. Add in a couple excellent, cleverly-integrated mini-scenes to keep me updated on the rest of the team and voila! It's another nigh-perfect issue of Runaways.
Really fun issue. So Doc Justice is Doombot, right?
Being a superhero is not as easy as it looks. The artwork is excellent save for the Pac-Man-looking mouths when drawn in profile.
