JUSTICE IS SERVED!
• The Runaways can't go home, but Los Angeles' First Protector and Most Venerable Hero has taken them in! Have they FINALLY met a powerful adult they can trust?
• To fight by his side, they'll have to leave one of their own behind!
• And without a soul to feast on, Gib is fading fast. Sounds like a ticking clock...

Even though there's a feeling that things in this arc will (inevitably) go to the wayside, this issue is such a genuine delight through and through. Read Full Review
Although my heart broke for Gert, the one member of the team who had her cool power/piece of tech taken away from her and lacks fighting skills, I think this will be a huge learning moment for her. I have no clue where Rowell will go with her character, but she has talked about how she has big things in store for Gert. First was her updated look and I believe the next will be her ability to provide support for the team outside of getting killed or feeding Old Lace. Runaways #27 is one of the best issues in months! It's flooded with humor, action, pain and all sorts of joy that is sure to please most readers. Read Full Review
The Runaways' transformation into the J-Team falls into the background as this moving issue focuses empathically on the exclusion of Gert. The opening is brightly humorous and the visuals are a fine flashback to Kris Anka's past Runaways work. But Gert's frustration is infectious -- exactly as intended! -- and it casts a long shadow over the shiny happy heroics. Read Full Review

I really enjoyed this issue! It had Great dialogue, great scenes and great artwork! There was that odd part with Gib, but still, I recommend this issue as we move forward with some big changes.8.5/10 Read Full Review
Runaways continues to be Marvels best slice of life/teen drama series and with good reason. Rainbow Rowell really gets inside the heads of these characters and tells amazing, (although a bit slow) stories with each of them. This particular issue had fun moments, but otherwise had very little going on aside from Gerts continuing struggle to fit in amongst her gifted friends. It was solid, but not the greatest thing in the world. Read Full Review
A fun and entertaining story continues to roll right along. It's getting a little suspicious how well it's rolling right along. Read Full Review
Runaways #27 was another interesting issue, and it seems like that foreboding feeling has only gotten worse with time. Read Full Review

This is always just such a pleasure. I really love the way that all the characters are developed and feel real and worth caring about.
Why is this book so good and so fun?
The team starts fighting crime with Doc Justice. Gert, sidelined, starts collecting the first hints that all is not well. The return of Kris Anka is a treat, the story continues to be fascinating, and the characters are still charming as all get-out.
All the fun and angst I've come to expect. Especially nice page with the egg, it's funny and the art communicates well.
