THE HYBORIAN HUNT CONTINUES!
Stranded in the distant past, Conan must enlist a team of Marvel's most savage super heroes if they hope to withstand the dangers of the Hyborian Age! But even if they can survive a barbaric new era filled with fearsome threats around every corner, the Savage Avengers still have to contend with the cybernetic soldier stalking Conan across the timestream...DEATHLOK THE DESTROYER! And if that isn't enough - what happens when an even deadlier enemy sets his sights on Conan? Plus...did we mention the dinosaur?!
PARENTAL ADVISORY
While Savage Avengers may have been made to show off Conan, and while this arc takes place in his time, this is a team book through and through. While Conan remains a force in both the series and story-line, Daredevil showing off her leadership skills here make this arc and series feel way different then just a "Conan Team-up Book" if Conan eventually leaves the series (but please no), this has full potential to end up an Avengers mainstream title! David is showing off his superhero style and I'm loving it! Read Full Review
Savage Avengers #2 is yet another triumph for this book. Pepose and company are two for two so far. Savage Avengers is one of the best Marvel books dropping right now, creating its own identity in the best possible way. Read Full Review
Everything in Savage Avengers #2 is about fun and ridiculous concepts, from Devil Dinosaur to cyborgs in a fantasy world. But there are parts in which the comic grounds itself as Pepose shows the depth of the stories these characters can tell. Read Full Review
Magno delivers some beautifully dark and detailed art throughout the issue. The action looks amazing and the visuals capture the thrills and tension of the story brilliantly. Read Full Review
If you love chaotic fight scenes and tons of action, you'll dig Savage Avengers #2. The action, characters, and the threat of Deathlok are all on point in this second issue, but it doesn't quite find its footing throughout the chaos. Read Full Review
Savage Avengers #2 provides engaging narration in a style that appeals to what I want out of my comics. Read Full Review
I really liked Savage Avengers #1, but the verbosity of the first issue does not let up in issue 2 and while there are some stylistic choices that I don't love as a matter of personal preference, this is also a book that has just way too many words. Read Full Review
Ok, yea this series is awesome.
Not stop action, solid chatacter work, absolutely phenomenal art backed by epic ancient prose befitting of the Barbarian? I have almost no complaints.
This is one of those issues you really feel you get your money worth out of. Theres a lot of content in these pages, and they manage to craft some phenomenal action with it.
Highly recommended, and I didnt even read the last run.
It's a little more wordy than it needs to be but, I did like this issue better than the first. It'd got good action, good art, and some pretty good storytelling.
