    Comics: The Gathering - Ellie J. May 22, 2021

This might be the best issue of the series yet, just because of how well it ties every previous one together and makes it all make sense. I'm so much more excited to see where things go now, especially because of how the next several issues are about the War. Read Full Review

    The Comicbook Dispatch - glimmer0415 May 19, 2021

As a Star Wars fan, Im ready for the upcoming War of the Bounty Hunters” crossover event. However, as much as Im looking forward to it, I think this issue is good enough to stand on its own, without the prelude designation. It can definitely be enjoyed by readers who do not plan to read all the crossover issues. So, if youre reading and enjoying Star Wars: Bounty Hunters” but not the other Star Wars titles – you can pick up this issue without worry. Its worth the price of admission on its own. Comic Crusaders - M.R. Jafri May 19, 2021

Valance misses the target on purpose to warn Han but in the battle that follows Han discovers Valance's involvement and blames him for the attack. Han is written perfectly here, both in his banter with Chewie, and his rush to judgement of Valance. In the present Zuckuss and 4-Lom close in, but Dengar is able to trade his knowledge of the location of Han and Fett for their safety. Read Full Review

As compared to other prelude books, this installment doesn't necessarily excel in any one arena, though we hope it will get more exciting as the actual "War of the Bounty Hunters" kicks off in the coming months. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Jason Flatt May 19, 2021

Bounty Hunters #12 is not a good start to this crossover arc. Little happens and what does feels pretty inconsequential. I'm not ready to count it out completely yet, but it will need to improve both its plot's reason for being and its characterization of basically every character in the book. Hopefully it can become a more interesting contribution to the crossover. Read Full Review
