OverallThis crossover event is developing quite nicely. We get a great twist at the end when it comes to the revelations about Crimson Dawn, but who is running them. I can't wait to read more when the Star Wars ongoing comic releases later this month. In the meantime. It is probably good to keep in mind that it is never a good idea to annoy a Wookiee. There is more that happens in the rest of the issue, but I don't want to spoil everything, since it has it's own plot twist at the end that promises to make next issue even better. I'll leave this review off by saying that this definitely feels like an essential chapter of War of the Bounty Hunters just as much as it is a part of its' own story, which is exactly what I wanted; we can only hope the other tie-in issues are the same way. Sacks continues to tell a really intriguing story that only gets better as it progresses, and Paolo Villanelli's art continues to be some of my favorite art in Star Wars comics ever. Check this one out! Read Full Review

Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #13 is a nice tie-in issue that readers of the current crossover will enjoy. There are no big revelations (not even the last page IMO), nor is there anything vital to the War of the Bounty Hunters overall plot. That being said, this reviewer believes it is an enjoyable issue that has action, and backstory along with multiple characters that take center stage. If you are not currently reading this series, this is not the place to start. If you are currently reading this series – pick it up. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Jason Flatt Jun 9, 2021

I'm still not entirely sold on this series as it continues to partake in the War of the Bounty Hunters. However, if the emotional notes between Valance and Chewbacca, as well as the comedy Dengar, added continue, I can see it growing on me. Until then, Bounty Hunters #13 is not as strong as I hoped it would be as the second issue in this story arc, but it is certainly a step up from the previous issue. Read Full Review

It's possible that the hints about Crimson Dawn will start to make the overall arc for the event become clear, but it's also possible we can get those pertinent details in a much more engaging Star Wars title, once again making Bounty Hunters an inconsequential storyline. Read Full Review
