Every time-travel story requires a flashback or two to flesh out the narrative. This flashback was set two-thousand years in the future, but despite such timey-wimey shenanigans the story was wonderfully clear. This was a good tale, told with sensitivity, and augmented by some lovely gory art. It has everything youd want in an X-Force book -- and its an excellent jumping-on place for new readers. The issue is an interesting one as it gives us some of the “why” as far as Kid Cable's mission but also leaves open some questions as to whether he's truly in the right as far as it. It's also nice that Brisson is delivering a new take on Stryfe as well as the two characters go together and it feels like too long since we've gotten a good take on the modern classic villain. The issue is missing the charm and banter of the current X-Force squad for most of the issue, so that's definitely a negative. Read Full Review
This issue finally explains why the old man had to die. It looks like we are in for a classic showdown soon and this issue is showing everyone’s motivation.
Well, the answers are coming. Good issue. Brisson's work begins to intertwine all the loose ends and begins to shape interesting characters with relevant motivations that show that not everything is totally good or bad. I am anxious to see how he develops this Stryfe's version. The art is good.
It was good. Nice flow and Brisson has some answers for his Extermination story. I wanted more. Maybe we'll get more satisfying details later. Couceiro art can't match burnett but it's good and it's well colored by Aburtov which helps it look better!
I liked this issue more than the previous ones, but that's because I find Kid Cable interesting and the convoluted time travel stuff is neat to me.
This was honestly better than before, but at the same time I hate time travel so...
