The first issue of Titan Comics Conan The Barbarian gave me everything I wanted from a Conan story. The art is primal and energetic in a way that takes you along for the adventure. The story is brilliantly balanced between narration and dialog making it feel like the classic Conan stories I love. And the plot of this first issue takes you through some of the best things about the Hyperborean age firmly anchoring this book in my must-read category if you are a fan of Sword and Sorcery. Those who have never read a Conan comic could not ask for a better introduction to the first son of sword-and-sorcery than Conan the Barbarian #1, and those who are already fans of Conan will find this first chapter to be everything they could have hoped for. Jim Zub delivers a story that has an element of mystery to it. As we are left wondering who or what is behind this unstoppable army of soldiers who are single-mindedly taking out entire communities. I look forward to finding out who or what is behind this army in over the course of the next couple of issues. Read Full Review

Titan's debut issue of Conan the Barbarian may not be the very best we've seen from Conan over the years, but it's much closer to the character's best than his worst. It's a strong, if uneven first issue that plants the seeds for some exciting adventures ahead. Read Full Review
BRILLIANT!!
No, it's not an innovative and new take on the character. No, it's not a quirky, niche response to ancient stereotypes. No, it's not a startling creative explosion of left-field ideas and experimental art...No, it's just Conan, the barbarian. Written and illustrated by two gentlemen of true pedigree.
Mr Zub has a long line of top selling Marvel titles in his C.V. and Rob De La Torre is simply a fabulous artist and only matched on Conan - in the present day and in a different style - by Steve McNiven.
For Conan to grab the imagination of the comic buying public you need to stay true to the original tales and always need the best artists.
Loved it!!
There’s some really awesome action here, drawn wonderfully and backed up by great narration and dialogue. This is a strong start to this series, and a solid introduction to the character and universe.
I didn't know why I bothered to try.
Not for me.
The art seem old (But very respectful)
Too much bubbles ...
