Excellent book. This work of art is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, Batman stories ever told. The first two volumes showed me that Scott Snyder can handle Batman extremely well, but I was curious about how he'd give Joker a go. Turns out he made my favorite version of him. Death of the Family crosses the boundaries and explores deeply into the psychologies of The Dark Knight and The Clown Prince of Crime, and makes me wonder once again at the big question that The Killing Joke raised: how will Batman's and Joker's endless fight conclude? The artwork is extremely atmospheric, making all the events feel alive, and the flashbacks' artist shift actually made me love the book even more. Scott Snyder just seems to be the best Batman writer in recent memory. Bravo. Once again.

Absolutely phenomenal story for the ages. Perfect plotting and excellent characterization. Every Batman fan should be required to read this.

A very dark Joker story that leads one to consider what is truly wrong with Scott Snyder. Other than the constant nightmares I must face now, the story is great as usual.

Snyder knows how to write one of the most frightening and tricky Joker in the history of the character; he has no face for gods sake! My only gripe is that the name of the title expects there to be a death and it’s reused from an older story. Capullo continues to impress with his art!

The clown prince of Gotham is back and he looks dangerous than ever with a stapled sliced face.Joker is back and looks to recreate his adventures with Batman in a weird way as possible.The darkest depiction of Arkham Asylum never existed before and once again all credits to Greg Capullo.Scott Snyder's bizarre storytelling and elements takes the story to greater heights once again.Last but not the least the title significance make it hell of a read as Joker looks out to finish of the Bat Family itself!All these factors make this one book into one of the best Bat-Joker encounters ever.

Change in artist halfway through each issue it’s really aggravating, but the writing is still top tier
