DC Vs Vampires: The main series? Great! The backups in this? Pretty good too. The main story for this spin-off? It's mostly ok like you say. It seems to be picking up as it advances, hopefully it sticks the landing.
Well, as I've said before, it feels refreshing to have an Elseworlds with actual creativity in its storytelling approach, and this issue is the perfect example. The apocalypse plot takes a backseat to finish three personal stories (personal stakes work better than higher stakes) and character elements that were introduced issues ago have a payoff in a way that feels natural and understandable for more
The cataclysmic final issue of the bestselling series will end with a bang and a whimper! Green Arrow will lead humanity’s final charge from the blood mines of Smallville. Supergirl’s mission to get off-world comes to an explosive end. And it’s Batgirl versus Nightwing for the fate of the entire planet-the stakes couldn’t be higher as the f...
The grand finale! With the dying embers of their hope rekindled at the eleventh hour, what’s left of John Constantine’s Suicide Squad attempts to traverse the badlands with precious cargo in tow. But just as final victory over the vampires and their endless night seems all but assured, the team must contend with their most powerful and terrifyi...

The Dark Crisis is over, and a new dawn shines on the DCU! In the wake of cataclysmic battles with Mongul, Henry Bendix, and Pariah's Dark Army, Kal-El is back on Earth and here to stay. And the people of our planet are ready to look up, up, and away into a brighter tomorrow. Well...most of the people. Clark Kent's reunion with Lois and his son, Jo...

As he and Steel join forces to remake Metropolis as a true City of Tomorrow, two of Superman's most iconic villains take notice...and they have plans of their own. Meanwhile, Superman's meddling on Warworld has had unfor...
Humanity's final battles against King Nightwing and his vampire armies have seemingly failed on all three fronts. Who lives? Who dies? As all hope is extinguished, will the surviving heroes be able to stop the extinction of the human race?
Having re-read thsi whole thing before this issue, reading this in one go probably works better than issue by issue.
The backup was great as well.
Betrayed and out of options, the pitiful remnants of the team head to a bleak and desolate Central City for one last Hail Mary as Baron Cinder's terrifying lieutenants close in. Will a Marvel Family showdown at the end of the world snuff out humanity's last hope, or will the team's final desperate gamble pay off?
Doesn't *quite* stick the landing as much as I hoped (Ivy's "hero turn" is a bit too quick for how hardcore her kills were at the beginning of the series and the "We're the Green" scene is good but a little Deus Ex Machina*) but the rest is so good it's still a high quality story.
* I suspect the story originally maybe ended a bit more ambigously before it got extended for a second arc, more
THE SHOCKING CONCLUSION TO POISON IVY'S FIRST ARC! Poison Ivy is taken to death's door and beyond, as the fungal parasite she's been playing host to causes Ivy to undergo a terrific metamorphosis. Can the world's greatest villain find the strength within her to carry on, or will something...new take her place? One thing's for sure, this issue is su...
Pure excellence.
Hello, sweetie, you're absolutely pathetic. You know that, right? Luckily for you, Daddy's home and he's here to make all the bad feelings go away. As Ivy prepares to go international with her mission to save the Earth, there's only one thing standing in her way-the brave man whom Ivy stole her powers from.
Mary is back home in the City of Brotherly Love, and she's feeling nothing but hate! Not only did she have to leave her dream school, but now she's the caretaker of her siblings and a city that is skeptical about the new hero in town. Everyone wants a piece of Shazam, and super-powered misfits are lining up to take her on! When her world is falling...
DC vs Vampires feels like the Earth 3 to DCeased. DCeased was ok but it was the side books that were amazing and seems we're getting the inverse here.
One of the last secret, underground human cities is facing total annihilation and its leader-John Constantine-must plan a suicide mission to assassinate a key lieutenant in the vampire empire! Against unreal odds and with an unlikely team including Booster Gold, Deathstroke, and Mary Marvel, does the Hellblazer have one more trick up his sleeve? A ...

Yeah I've been loving the main series but found this side deal to be really lacking. Cool characters here but the story just seemed all over the place and the art really hurt with that too.
The war for Earth takes a decisive turn as the heroes prepare to strike back! Can Supergirl and her team in Australia escape to space? Will the Birds of Prey's infiltration of Gotham City go unnoticed by the Vampire King? Can Green Arrow save the human cattle from the Blood Farm? The shocking answers await!
That twist was pretty cool.
Road trip! Our heroes split up and spread out across the globe to prepare for the final strikes against the vampire kingdom! Will Green Arrow's mission force him to battle one of his oldest friends? What horrors await the Birds of Prey inside the ruins of Gotham? And does Black Manta's secret mean a watery grave for Supergirl?
An Elseworlds with actual creativity in its storytelling (instead of just following a bunch of tropes). I actually enjoy the fact that the apocalypse plot takes a backseat to tell three personal stories. Personal stakes work better than higher stakes.
THE BATTLE FOR EARTH CONTINUES IN THIS BLOODTHIRSTY SERIES! The surviving heroes put their various plans in motion in their last attempt to save humanity! The Birds of Prey are out for blood and head back into the heart of the vampire kingdom: Gotham City! Supergirl must cross a vampire-infested ocean and Green Arrow's mission is...just too horrify...
Mary Marvel is by far the best part in this story, I'm actually invested in her part. Midnighter and Starfire were fun as well.
The backup is excellent as usual.
With Baron Cinder and his lieutenants kept occupied by the mother of all diversions, the team attempts a daring raid on the Blood Farm to retrieve the one person who can bring sunlight back to the world. However, they have not reckoned on the terrifying presence of the Baron's vampire knights-familiar faces whose blades are every bit as bloodthirst...
The apocalyptic Suicide Squad team are planning for an all-out assault at the Blood Farm when one of Gotham's daughters finds them first. Batwoman gives them the chance to risk it all to save one of their own...but will this new mission give them the power they need to take on the mysterious Lord Cinder and his lieutenants? Or are they playing righ...
I think this spin-off is being carried by the backups tbh. They are excellent.
The main story is just fine.
The survivors of a horrifying vampire attack, led by Deathstroke, take shelter with Talia al Ghul. With intel from a hero recently saved from vampirism, John Constantine prepares them for a (suicide) mission, while Midnighter goes through every scenario in his head and finds out the dark truth. Meanwhile the mysterious vampire Lord Cinder has becom...
The next chapter of the Warworld Saga begins! Following the first victory by Superman and the Phaelosians, the Warworld Rebellion has begun. But Mongul has become more merciless than ever, cracking down on his enemies with unspeakable cruelty. With Superman’s people suffering and his options dwindling, his thoughts turn to the mythical necropolis...
Pretty good as always, I'm really digging the lore though the timeline can feel a bit confusing character-wise.
The Warworld Revolution is here! With the Genesis Stone feeding Kal-El a portion of his long-dormant powers, the quest to overthrow Mongul's tyrannical rule is well under way...but can Superman convince the war-torn combat-ants of this hellish nightmare planet that kindness can best cruelty? All this, plus Midnighter stabs some fools who had it com...
You know how the whole villain origin story is usually about the "one bad day" that changed everything? I think it's Tuesday most of the time. But what if it's, like, a lot of bad days, and some of them were even caused by me, Harley Quinn? Well, that would be a recipe for one pretty bad villain, right? The secret origin story of a brutal new villa...
They really tried to throw me in prison for somethin' I didn't do! I mean, this time I didn't do anything. In the past, I did things. Lots of things...But that's not the point. The point is, I'm innocent! It's a frame job, I tell ya! The only way out of this is to catch the real culprit, and for that I need Batwoman. Seriously, who doesn't need Bat...
Not for me, I'll probably leave it at this issue.
Batman and the Justice League are working desperately to save innocent lives after the arrival of a mysterious alien ship that has destabilized the entire planet. After all attempts to communicate with the unknown invaders fail, they're left with no alternative but to fight! But can even the combined might of the Justice League and all the world's ...

In the mysterious absence of the Last Son of Krypton, Batman must rally the rest of the Justice League to counter the alien threat...but first, h...
Selina shouldn't have been killed so quickly (in general, my only problem with this series is that they have all these cool antagonists with built-in personal relationships with the protagonists but they kill them too quickly ) but otherwise good issue.
In the shadow of the new Vampire World Order, Harley Quinn rules the human underworld in this age of darkness. She has survived by only looking out for herself...but she might have just found the key to saving the world.
With the Batgirls' damaged reputation still on the line and repairs on the Clock Tower well under way, Babs just might have finally found the key to their redemption. Meanwhile, serial killer the Hill Ripper is still on the loose! The girls receive their first major break in the case from an unlikely source-unfortunately for them, the main suspect ...
You've got this awesomely wacky concept and the best thing you can come up with is... Let's do a JL origin again, this time with bad puns?
Stupid plot, zero characters and the "fun" is stuff anybody could come up with in 5 minutes.
I really wanted to love this, but this is dull as dishwater, which is the worst thing you can say about a book that LITERALLY FEATURES SUPERHEOES more
Bizzarosaur has invaded Supersaur's home village, and now the super-powered sauropod must defend his home and the humans who have raised him since his arrival on Earth. But will he be strong enough to defeat this strange foe, or will he need the help of Wonderdon and Batsaur, who are both converging on his location? A whole new Trinity assembles fo...
Crisis on Infinite Earths. Infinite Crisis. Final Crisis. And now...Dark Crisis! The epic event years in the making is finally here! Can the legacy heroes ste...
Deep in the Pacific Ocean, at the farthest possible distance from any land, sits Point Nemo: the spaceship graveyard. Since the dawn of the space race, the nations of the world have sent their crafts there on splashdown, to sink beneath the silent seas. But there is something...else at Point Nemo. A structure never made by human hands. And that str...

Will these teen outcasts change everything Batm...
Pamela Isley has been a lot of things in her life. A living god, a super-villain, an activist, a scientist, and dead. In a new body that she didn't ask for and with a renewed sense of purpose, Ivy leaves Gotham and sets out to complete her greatest work-a gift to the world that will heal the damage dealt to it...by ending humanity.
