Overall Superman Doomed has a really interesting concept, with a lot of potential. However with this issue the execution has not quite matched that potential. Things should get interesting quickly though and I still believe Doomed can be a good crossover.

Overall Spider-man learning to crawl is exactly as advertised, and if the concept appeals to you definitely try it out.

Zero Year continues to impress. For those of you who have been missing out, seriously get back on the bandwagon, this is not only arguably DC's best book, but arguably one of the best in comics period.

Zero Year has been nothing but a major success, and though we are two months away from the conclusion…this issue serves as the ultimate appetizer to hold us over until then.

Overall Gotham #28 is a good comic, however just due to the timing of its release and the very vague details of the surrounding universe, it holds the issue back from realizing its full potential. The new stuff is fun, but after 10 issues of Zero Year it is understandable that this can be frustrating to long time readers of the series.

There are 3 more issues to Zero Year, in a arc titled Savage City. Simply put fans should buckle in things are gonna get crazy.

The changes to the origin have worked out pretty well, hopefully the story in the present will follow stride and we can have something amazing!

Batman and ___ is a series that is in a state of constant flux, however with Tomasi and Gleason grinding out quality issues consistently, I for one am exited for the future.

Tomasi's best work on this series has come when he has been able to move the heart strings, as well as get to the essence of the Batman and Robin dynamic. This issue may have a different Robin, but it has the same result. With Dick Grayson's fate up in the air with Forever Evil, this story is a refreshing comic to have.

Batman Black and White # 5 had some great stories as well as some average ones. The books' art is definitely its strong suit, however fans of the character will enjoy the charm in a bunch of tales that bring out the characteristics which make Batman the man he is.

Batman Black and White #6 offers surprising value for a $4.99 book with great arc and well executed stories it finishes the mini series on a high note.

Batman Eternal was a good start to this weekly series hopefully the momentum will continue as they can fully achieve he potential of the format. With many great Batman series out there it may be hard for this to earn your dollar but the start is as good as any.

Batman Eternal # 3 is a good issue of the series, not a great issue of the series. Clearly things are leading up to something big, but this issue should not sway your decision to pick up the series or not. If you like it keep with it, if you do not like the whole Gotham mythos then this may be a chance to drop, because Batman Eternal is a celebration of that Mythos.

The good thing about the weekly format, is we as readers get immediate payoff, and that is quite nice. Thus far the quality of Batman Eternal has not skipped a beat, and it continues to be a great investment as the series marches on again and again.

The thing to keep in mind, Batman Eternal is definitely a story with a long term plan that will thread many different pieces together. Hopefully this plot will seem more natural to the story by the end, but for now the change was a bit odd and lack luster.

Batman Eternal started out really strong out of the gate, but has started to slip. It will be curious to see if this is just a bump in the road or a telling sign.

Batman Eternal being a weekly series has a lot to do to earn readers dollars. Thus far the story has shown a lot of promise, and we need more issues closer to this one rather then the last 2 to instill confidence for the future.

Black Science # 3 is jsut another great installment of this young series, and leaves the reader wanting more and more awesomeness.

Black Science is one of the best books on the stands today, and it is no surprise why. Simply put you would be hard pressed to find a comic series that can pull off the high concepts along with the perfect mix of action, dialogue and character moments. This book has become appointment reading.

Black Science is a series performing to its highest potential. With the stakes getting higher and the plot bringing new and fantastical elements this seems to be primer for great things to come.

While this issue is not the best issue of the series, it is still really good, and a fitting end to arc. Issue 6 gives the reader enough payback, while allowing the anticipation for the future to exist. Ifyou have not read Black Science yet, take this break as a opportunity to catch up and join in on the fun for issue 7 in July!

For those of you who have been waiting for more Black Science here it is in all its glory, its one of the best books on the shelves, do not deprive yourself of it.

Damian son of Batman has thus far proven to be a good mini series. Hopefully the next two issues will only make it a better story, because I see the potential for this to be GREAT, however as is the story is regressing sadly.

Damian Son of Batman is puttering to the finish line, with next issue being the end, it does not seem like a dramatic turn around is in order.

Damian Son of Batman is a story with many pretty illustrations…unfortunately as a whole, the plot was a muddled mess which went nowhere fast.

Daredevil is firing on all cylinders, and we get to enjoy the ride.

So the Man-Bat story has finally ended. Fans of the character ( in case you did not notice I am not one of them), will very much enjoy this issue, as it has some very neat moments. However for fans less invested or interested in this character, you may want to skip this book at $3.99, as it is just a mediocre Batman issue in the end.

Fans of Batman should not fret over this because this is a great homage to the character and is a nice display of the man stories Batman can take. Even for fans who are not quite as dedicated to the Dark Knight, will still be able to enjoy this issue because it is still a very good issue overall with great stories. Readers should be cautioned though about the price, which can sneak up on you.

Gothopia has picked up momentum after a slow start, and the conclusion should at least be a interesting sight.

Detective Comics #30 is a amazing issue, building lots of potential for the run. A perfect jumping on point, and I highly recommend you do!

Detective comics under the new creative team is thus far a home run, and the future is bright for this book.

John Paul Leon on art with Dave Stweart handling the colors, make a very dark and grim adventure for us to follow. The style fits the story so well, with a more simpler Batman design for a less fantastical story. However, while the art is quality, I must say that at times in certain panels it is a bit too dark and parts of it are hard to follow. However, some masterful panels, including one with a plane crash, are done to perfection and overall a great job in this issue.

Flash fans have a lot to look forward too, but as well as some great stuff in the present with strong issues such as this!

This story from a passing glance may seem like a odd fit for a Flash story, but when you take a hard look at the character you come to realize it is a perfect Flash story. Buccellato and Zirchers execution is driving that point home as the series continues to hold its momentum.

Looking forward we have two more issue of Forever Evil. Our team is set and it appears as though they are ready to take on the Syndicate. Many event books struggle to finish strong, yet Johns gives readers hope that the conclusion of this story will be just as epic as the issues that proceed it. Great read.

This issue is the pinnacle of the potential of event comics, and despite the slow release schedule (compared to Marvel's events), it is well worth the wait.

As a event Forever Evil was really good, and kind of surprising. A group of villains and we were supposed to care. But I suppose when you bring Geoff Johns aboard he will not only pick the right cast, but write them to maximum effectiveness. Forever Evil is an all time great.

This mini is catching it`s stride, and though not excellent yet, it is a pretty good issue. If you love Batman rogues this is is for you.

I can not recommend this book enough. Seriously add it to your pull! If you are a new reader to Green Arrow this issue marks a perfect place to jump on! With Arrow the t.v show hitting its stride and Lemire and Sorrentino constantly bringing us gold each month, it is a great time to be a Green Arrow fan!

It is hard to find a series that is constantly firing on all cylinders like this series is. It seems Lemire and Sorrentino only get better and better with each issue, as they have crafted one of the best books on the shelf today.

One spectacular installment after another. Just as the Outsiders War conflict gears up, this series seems to out do itself each month.

We also catch a glimpse of the Seattle “Dragon” story-line, while it maintains interest for what we assume the next arc will be, it would of been nice to just focus on the Outsiders war. We also get Katana in this story with little to none explanation, though I am sure we will get more details, it also is kind of silly considering they barely interact in the very short lived Justice League of America team up. These remain only minor complaints for a other wise amazing issue.

Green Arrow #31 is amazing end to an amazing arc, and is worth checking out for all.

Overall this arc is coming full circle, while this issue is definitely not the best of the run, it still is very good and it is absolutely interesting to see where Lemire and Sorrentino take it as they wrap up their run.

Green Arrow by Lemire and Sorentino was a great run, and this issue a perfect capper. If you haven't had the privleage of reading , I suggest you do as it is truly one o f the great runs..

This is a fine issue and provides a nice look at Otto, however for a $3.99 strict tie in issue. People would be hard-pressed to squeeze this into a comics budget.

Justice League under Johns will always be a very character driven book, and despite the focus on a bad guy this time around, the content remains strong.

Thus far with Forever Evil, most of the tie ins have been mediocre, however Justice League has been quite the exception and continues to be worth the price of admission and supplement Forever Evil!

Even if you are not up to date on Justice League I would seriously recommenced getting this comic, its a relatively simplistic origin tale with flawless execution and a lot of heart. A nice break from the main course of Crime Syndicate World domination

Justice League started off the whole New 52 hype. However after Origins, it kind of leveled off and maintained being good but not great for a really long time now. However Johns has all the gears in motion and this looks to be one of his best and most creatives arcs ever. I for one can not wait to see how things turn out.

Justice League has almost been one cohesive story ever since the second arc, and Johns has definitely taken the potential of this series to a good place. However sometimes there is just a off issue here and there, and this one happens to be one of those issues..

Justice League has hit its stride with Forever Evil, and now is a great time to jump aboard if you have been missing out.

Scott Kolins on art does a pretty good job in this issue. Though his art style differs a lot from Mahnke or Reis, his less tight approach works just fine for this particular issue (though I too can not wait to see what Fabok does with these characters).

While this plot can be bit hard to follow with the murky details of the prison, Justice League of America # 10 starts to materialize the story, I remain optimistic that Kindt will incorporate more of the team as these Forever Evil issues progress.

Forever Evil has proven to be a detriment to this book. It is a shame , because Matt Kindt should be allowed more freedom to make the story his, but instead we are left with this two person team book. It feels like not only are the heroes stuck in a mind prison…but the series as well.

I honestly have very little words to say about the issue overall. It just happens to be a really great comic book. Nothing is over the top for the sake of it, the drama feels very organic and you get to really care for Forever. Lazarus # 5 is a well crafted story visually and thematically, a great comic for any fan of the medium.

Miles Morales is a character who has really shined with his own book. For those unfamiliar with Miles, this issue is the perfect place to start, a solid read.

Red Lanterns 25 is a great kick-start post “Lights out”. Considering this series? #25 is a great jumping on point to give it a try. You can never go wrong with Charles Soule.

Overall the series is in heading in a great direction. Soule seems to understand what makes the Red Lanterns appealing, being bad ass versions of their Green counterparts, and he is able to use Guy Gardner perfectly in order to get the reader interested. Red Lanterns is so much fun if you are interested at all in the series, pick it up now!

This story is building to something, and though this issue is really just setting the table, it manages to maintain interest in the characters throughout.

With a perfect ending to the issue , Soule has gotten the readers to be truly excited for what is to come. The Red Lanterns are burning strong!

This issue is not without flaws, for one it does not reallyswing for the fences per se. For a number 1 issue, it is kind of underwhelming and may get lostamongst so many other #1′s. As well with stories that are very one off in nature it is kind of hard toget too invested. We shall see where this goes.

6 issues in and Superior Foes has continues to deliver. With this whacky plot of Fred's coming to a head, what lies ahead in this story should be a blast!

Issue 7 is not the best issue of this series, but with this series the worst issues are really amazing comics overall. If you have yet to join in on the game, I suggest you pick this issue (along with the previous 6) up,and join in on the fun. This is a title that we can expect to bring it , in 2014.

At $2.99 (rare for Marvel), Superior Foes is one of Marvels best bang for your buck books on the shelves. The series just simply keeps on delivering.

We see little to none of the rest of the team however that is fine as the issue was perfectly balance, and from the tease we will get more next issue (hopefully Overdrive will get the spotlight someday). Simply put this book continues to be a hit. Go check it out, it will become a $3 you cannot wait to spend.

It was difficult to think of any reason this story exists. Fans of the series could skip this issue as it truly defines filler, its pretty fine in its own right, but this series is not used to mediocrity.

This issue has ALOT of expectations. I would say that the issue did a good job, and did not set out to amaze. It may not be a super crazy good issue, but it does not have to be , because the larger story looks really promising, and we can trust Johns to make a truly epic story. Superman may finally be a anticipated title on a month to month basis!

The series is starting to find its footing and build to something really interesting. Johnshas me hooked!

The art is very strong in this issue, and Lee Weeks does a great job. Weeks' character designs and facial expressions are really top notch and they make the story pop. The style is a bit different from what I would consider a “typical” Superman style, but then again..this is not the typical Superman.

The issue is a relative light hearted one, which is not a bad thing, though we will have to wait until 2014 to see more of what Zod will be up to. Issue 3 of Superman Wonder Woman is a very fun issue that brings out some really strong character moments as well utilizes guest stars to advance the plot!

Superman/Wonder Woman #4 is simply a amazing comic by all accounts! Super Hero comics at it's finest!

This arc will conclude in next months issue. I for one am anticipating a epic finsih!

Though the arc is concluded, the story as a whole is far from complete. Soule and Daniel have laid the foundation for a very unique ongoing story and DC fans everywhere should celebrate.

This issue itself is pretty bland, especially for a series that had been producing consistently great work. The series still has a bright outlook, but this issue is not the best example of its potential.

Superman Unchained # 5 leaves the series in a great spot for the New Year. Readers should have faith in Scott Snyder to bring all these threads to a epic conclusion

Superman Unchained has been a series that has had some problems due to scheduling delays, however like this issue, some good things are worth the wait.

With amazing writing and art, Superman Unchained has ramped up to a exciting book. Yes the delays were a bit painful, however if they produced issues like this, it makes up for it.

Overall Superman Doomed exceeds expectations. Is it the best issue to lead of a huge crossover….no…but it has many fine points that will leave fans of the franchise satisfied.

Overall this issue was good, not something amazing, but there is much promise and that alone is what Titans fans have been waiting for in over 30 issues. Simply put the Teen Titans are back!

Uncanny X-Men has been a great book under Bendis, as he continues putting his stamp on the X-Men universe. Issue 14 is another example of how Bendis is the master of making character, as this team gets more and more compelling. Great read.

I personally would not mind Bendis doing less big picture arcs with this series. Though we did not get a lot of the whole team, we can expect that to change in future issues, however the quality is still superb!
