If you're loving Fraction's HAWKEYE, there's literally no good reason why you shouldn't be reading Spencer's SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN. There's a tidal wave of great laughs in this issue and there's a big surprise thrown in there, too. I know the word "fun" has already been used twice in this review, but ultimately, the best way to describe this book is pure fun. Seriously, don't skip on this one -- it's a real blast. Superior Foes of Spider-Man is just one of a number of books at Marvel that are exploring the idea of the post-modern super-hero. More like a sitcom than a traditional super-hero book, Superior Foes combines humor and pathos with a sarcastic love letter to the history of Marvel's super-villains. With Boomerang, the book's leading man, receiving some fantastic characterization this issue, and his supporting cast providing some big thrills, Superior Foes of Spider-Man #6 is a strong issue from a book that, month in and month out, is one of Marvel's best. I can't believe we're only at six issues. This series seems like it's been around for a lot longer, but if the cover says '6", I'll believe six. And to commemorate the sixth issue of a Sinister Six comic, Spencer and Lieber apparently went above and beyond with their work. This is the best, funniest issue of Superior Foes so far. Its just such a fun book. As anyone who is reading DC right now can tell you, creating a book that is just simply fun is much harder than it looks. If youre not reading this book, do yourself a favour and pick it up. Itll brighten up your Wednesdays. Read Full Review
6 issues in and Superior Foes has continues to deliver. With this whacky plot of Fred's coming to a head, what lies ahead in this story should be a blast! Read Full Review
Spencer's dialogue is very entertaining, and it's obvious he enjoys juggling hair-brained schemes and criminal shenanigans like this. It's always a good time when great writers take obscure characters and just have a ball with them in ways that make sense. Plus, Steve Lieber's artwork is a lot of fun, imaginatively detailed and very much in the David Aja Hawkeye vein, which gives this book a very contemporary and snazzy feel. You just feel like you're reading something cool when you open up Superior Foes of Spider-Man, so you should do that. Read it. Keep it going. Because small-time supervillains in a world of big-time superheroes is always an engaging juxtaposition. It's fun, it's funny, and it looks great. What more do you need out of a comic book? 'The Superior Foes of Spider-Man #6" rounds out this heist of the former Mob-Boss-Robot-Head arc with more visual gags and humorous dialogue than your abs can handle! I love seeing these street level villains attempting to just scrape by and is a favorite of mine in Marvel. The overall motif of this book keeps me coming back for humorous dialog and that simple, stylish art. Read Full Review

I didn't care about any of these characters and doubted the idea of an ongoing with them before I picked up this book. Don't be that person. Get in with the Sinister Six now before they find a sixth member and don't have room for you. Read Full Review
Clever story, funny dialog, good times here.
Although I do hope Beetle and Overdrive start to develop more, I am beyond impressed by these first 6 issues
