Sep 22, 2026This was a solidly enjoyable installment that advances both the story and the characters, thanks to some of the flashback, and provides for a good twist that I didn’t see coming. That’s always a big plus. The action is a lot of fun, and it has that kind of grisly body horror element that a lot of the Absolute books engage in to make it extra squick. I do continue to think that those who read this as a single volume are going to enjoy a lot more than monthly readers in terms of a fuller and more engaged story, but I wouldn’t want to miss out on the monthly moment of the twist and not knowing what’s to come with all of its anticipation. The expectation that comes with an absolute series is sky high, just keep that in mind that we all are biased by this fact.
This issue is actually pretty badass and deserves his place in the absolute universe. The art is probably one of the strongest of all the series... really promising if they can keep it up.
This Green Arrow series has insane adoptation potential, so I suggest you don't sleep on it. You won't regret it. -
