This issue was somewhat quieter and more intimate than previous instalments, as John Henry begins to get to know Superman while they share the farm in Smallville. When the book shifts into action, it comes in shorter bursts, with John Henry making observations about Clark, aka Superman, as he begins to establish his own identity as Steel. Read Full Review

Absolute Superman #24 is another strong issue that gives Superman a powerful ally and, more importantly, a close friend. That extra connection to humanity can only help as he continues on his hunt for Brainiac. And as the nonviolent solutions to the three villains presented in this issue show, this duo is willing to do things differently in order to bring hope to their world. Read Full Review

John Henry Irons, you are amazing as always. Good issue. it's only not perfect because I think the structure felt a bit weird in the Chemo and Atomic Skull parts, but it's totally forgivable. The introduction of two new Superman villains plus Chemo was great. I liked Atomic Skull's design, and he stays true to the premise of the original character (I recently read his debut issue and the approach is very similar). I love this Kal as always, and his dynamics with Steel are excellent, just like the characterization of John Henry Irons and his armor. I'm loving that Absolute Parasite is playing the Krypto role,it's a fun and curious twist. Really looking forward to the next issue where we'll get the direct showdown with Brainiac. Fantastic art more

Superman shows what makes him super, being kind, even to his "villains" or threats. John Henry takes notes on what makes Clark Kent Superman and eventually decides he will become Steel. Love the artwork in the issue, Juan Ferreyra is so awesome, but I didn't enjoy the choppy nature of the story telling.
