I've gushed enough. This book keeps chugging along. Everyone should be reading it. Read Full Review
Action Comics #1048 is yet another winner. This book honestly feels like it cant lose ever. Johnson is the best Superman writer in a long time, and when hes teamed with artists like Perkins, Loughridge, Lapham, and Mulvihill, the book is going to be exceptional. Combine that with Sharpes fantastic letters, and readers get something special on every page. Read Full Review
This story is a treat: satisfying on every level. It's exactly what a Superman story should be, and it's as necessary right now as medicine. Read Full Review
Mike Perkins' guest art delivers great visuals, fresh off his fantastic run on The Swamp Thing, and Johnson is delivering the best in-continuity Superman story in years. Read Full Review
It's also refreshing to see Lex Luthor back in action using his various resources to get what he wants. That subplot is proving to be just as intriguing and enjoyable as the main arc. Superman is back and while the art isn't quite up to the normal standards of the title, this issue takes some welcome steps in fixing past mistakes from the previous regime. Read Full Review
Action Comics #1048 keeps up the action with the next chapter in this new story arc. Even with a new artist, this comic's writing and art mix well together to make a solid Superman story. There's a lot of heart, good-natured energy, and good old-fashioned Superman action, all while Lex Luthor's cooking up a new plot. It's perfect, but it's a good read and keeps you interested in what's happening in the current issue and what comes next. Read Full Review
Superman vs. The New Gods is not something I was expecting out of this story but I'm certainly here for it and hope that this story expands on what the new status quo of the New Gods is in our Infinite Frontier landscape. Overall though, the backup is kind of weak, but the main story more than makes up for it in both plot and art so I'm happy with the direction we're going right now. Read Full Review
The art in this issue is unfortunately a bit lacking which also doesn't really help things, the end result being a very "okay" overall issue. Read Full Review
Not a fan of bad Orion.
Other than that, everything was awesome!
Not quite as great as the last issue, but still solid.
Just not feeling this arc at Al. Bland as bland can be.
