This story doesn't so much end as just dovetail into both the final chapter of the event, and the final issue of the Joker series next month. So while it does have its good moments, it ultimately doesn't add much of anything to Red Hood's storyarc in this event and leaves the character still in limbo as the story heads back over to the main creative team. Gotham War: Red Hood #2 has perfectly given a broad look at where DC's most loose cannon was at the start of the event, and leaves us wondering about his overall safety going forward. The situation's beautiful to look at but nerve-wracking to read. I'm sure we all deeply hope that he pulls through. I'm now incredibly eager to see this cross-over's conclusion. Read Full Review

Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War Red Hood #2 solidified this series as completely skippable. This Red Hood mini-series only accomplished to confirm how the lack of build up hurt Gotham War as a whole. If you are reading the Gotham War event in Batman and Catwoman save your money as this Red Hood mini-series was an unimportant part of the event. Read Full Review

Batman / Catwoman: The Gotham War: Red Hood #2 is a pointless mess and a waste of time. There is no story here, the timeline doesn't fit within Gotham War, and the outcome is just a cheap excuse to read other titles. In the strongest possible terms, this comic is a hard pass. Read Full Review

Look, I've done my best to be positive with this crossover, as I've genuinely liked it thus far, despite some bumps in the road. However, this just really lost me. It's not even a bad book, in my opinion. I just found myself getting more bored as time went on. I think the start of this issue was solid and I actually enjoyed the relationship between Jason and Rose, aside from that weird "sex in the bushes" line from the latter. However, it just continued to get less and less interesting for me. I've been enjoying Rosenberg's Man Who Stopped Laughing series with Joker, but this was just not it.

I've done my best to speed through this crossover, in terms of reviewing it, because I simply don't care to discuss this. I was enjoying the crossover, perfectly fine with Batman's loosening morals and all that, because it was supported by the story. This issue is where the wheels really fell off for me. The fact that this is nothing more than an ad for Rosenberg's Joker finale (Which btw, I enjoy that run much more than this crossover) is so fucking frustrating. I just feel like DC's being open about how much Batman is simply a corporation's easy money button. And trust me, I've read Joker Year One at the point I'm writing this. The feeling hasn't changed. This crossover has really deadened my hype and enjoyment of Zdarsky's run, and reall more

Just don't. There honestly isn't a reason to give anymore of a review. Just don't buy it or read it. It will provide you with no enjoyment or worth.

I can't understand why DC keeps pushing the character failure after failure, and why they keep giving comics to Rosenberg.

I dont know whats wrong with Matthew Rosenberg. But maybe because he's not trying at all but this event is a complete mess. The art is bland, the dialogue is corny, and the action is not interesting. I knew Gotham War wasnt going to be as good as Joker War, Fear State, or Shadow War. What the hell is Joker and Scarecrow doing here? This entire event completely sucks donkey ball, and its my least favorite event of 2023
