New artist Ardian Syaf joins the hit series as a mystery begins! An unseen terror launches deadly strikes against major cities...and the only clue is Kryptonite! Can Batman and Superman bring an invisible foe to justice before more damage is done?
I really enjoyed the beginning of this new arc. While I hated the Joker comparison, I liked the mystery of who the villain is and why he's targeting those Superman cares for most. Ardian Syaf's art is great and I'm glad to have a new and consistent look to the book. Anyone on the fence with this book can jump in now with no problem and enjoy the promising start to a new story. All in all Batman Superman #16 was a fun read, despite some of goofier scenes when trying to making the villain threatening. New readers who are interested of Batman Superman but never got around to reading any of the comics can easily jump into the series since this is the start to a new story arc. I really hope this is a villain worth reading as the story progresses for the months to come. Read Full Review
I love what Greg Pak has introduced in Batman/Superman #16. I'm on board with everything he's selling, and I can't wait to see how the duo will figure out this mystery. The story doesn't just rely on a new problem to introduce a new arc. He explores the individuality of each character, and with the solid imagery provided by Ardian Syaf, Batman/Superman #16 succeeds in being a must read for this week. Read Full Review
It is all wrapped around the mystery of who is obsessing over Superman? And who knows Superman so well to attack those closest to him? Or get under his skin? Who has the capability to be tracking a non-entity like the guy in the hospital who was killed simply for wearing the S-shield? Let the guesses begin. Adrian Syaf's stuff is very solid here and I welcome him to the book. Read Full Review
I am thrilled to see Syaf's artwork. I like the overall direction this arc looks like it's taking us. I feel like the last quarter of the book had more potential than was recognized, at least in the writing department, though the rest of the book made up for it. It's a good first chapter in a new story arc. I'd recommend it. Read Full Review
I didn't care for how things were presented here, but it could end up being a solid idea. So until I get more information, I give Batman/Superman #16… Read Full Review
