I'm very sad that this title will be ending soon, but if the creative team keeps up this level of quality then this run can hold it's head high as a maxi-series of outstanding quality. There are only two issues left, but there's still a lot of story to tell. Read Full Review

Batwoman #16 continues to impress and amaze with another rough and emotionally intense issue, this time bringing the Kane and Wayne in-fighting to a head. The storytelling is brilliant, and Blanco and Rauch do excellent work with the visuals. This one comes highly recommended. Give it a read. Read Full Review

The conclusion of "The Fall of the House of Kane" in Batwoman #16 comes with only two issues left in this series, and Marguerite Bennett undoubtedly packs a lot of emotional power and drama into this final showdown. Read Full Review

Batwoman has been in a valley for a couple of issues, and I was VERY worried about this big "vs. Batman" fight distracting from the quality of Kate's story. However, it proved to be exactly the opposite, and the inner battle of a symbol versus your own family quickly became a powerful message. Read Full Review

What has always been so wonderful about Batwoman is she's unafraid to be brutally honest with herself, even if that means being harshly introspective at times. This was no exception, as the internal monologue proved. Read Full Review

There is some great art and details in this issue, but if this were my first introduction to Batwoman as a character or my first Batwoman comic to pick up, I would have a hard time finding something in her portrayal in this issue to compel me to read the next issue. Read Full Review

The pacing was great, and the art was consistent and did its part to aid in telling the story. It is clear from the ending that Kate Kane's days as Batwoman may be numbered, but this adds to the issue and lends it a greater feeling of importance. Read Full Review

Much of what happens in Batwoman #16 is repetitive -- particularly the inclusion of Batwoman's sister. The issue redeems itself thanks to Blanco and Rauch's artwork, which is some of the best the series has seen thus far. Read Full Review

This issue is pretty enjoyable. There's lots of great art and action and I liked the way most story points played out. I felt that it was especially appropriate for a Batwoman title. That said, there are a lot of head-scratching moments in this book. It didn't ruin this issue for me but I can see it turning off a lot of readers. A book shouldn't make me think, “well that's not how that works but okay…” The issue was pretty good though, even if the ending is a bit lackluster. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Oliver Bourne Jun 21, 2018

With this book nearing cancellation, I wonder if DC would consider pairing Kate with Jason in a series somewhere down the line. I would buy it. With all that being said, I do think Kate comes across as a hero and has proven herself as a member of the Bat-Family despite what her detractors may argue. I understand that her methods may have come across as controversial but not everybody is the same. Something tells me that with the conclusion of this arc, that the last issue or issues will be somewhat filler and that we will forget about this whole nonsense in a few months. Read Full Review

Iam uncertain what audience this title is intended. To see Batman defeated sosimply would probably offend most Bat-fans. But its not his book, so maybe heshouldnt even be in it. Id prefer to see Batwoman challenged by her ownrogues gallery, and respectfully suggest creative efforts be made in creatingsome suitable villains for her. Read Full Review
