This series is to synergize with the upcoming DCU Clayface, and even so, it was still a solid issue. I like hte intrigue of the second Basil Karlo, the art is great and it has horror art that I enjoy.

A surprisingly quick read. Like, really, it felt like it only took me a few minutes to read this. In any case, I thought this was pretty good. Galán's interiors were not only strong and consistent, but also right at home with the tone/setting of this book. As for the writing, I liked it. I believe, as of now, this is the first book I've read from Doyle. They did a pretty nice job of hooking me into the story moving forward, and I'm pretty interested to see where this goes next. Nice balance of mystery and horror, also.

When you look into the writer and how polarized they are in one direction of feminism I’m sure people won’t give this book a chance just based on that. That’s a shame because the first issue isn’t bad. It lays down a decent frame work for this series to function in. However the only reason I don’t go higher is that’s pretty much all it does. It’s a little too light a read for people that aren’t Clayface fans. I’m interested to see what comes next.

Awesome to read a comic by people who are as big (if not bigger) fans of Brian DePalma, David Cronenberg, and Chuck Jones as I am. Little light initially, (spends a bit too much of its brief time in Cube Town) but the last couple pages were fantastic and I'm excited to see more of it.
