Oct 14, 2026The Doom Patrol #2 is firmly cementing this run early on as one of my favorite things DC Comics has put out, which is no easy feat considering the run the company has been on. This team is able to humanize these characters in such a unique manner while keeping the core of who they are intact. There is mystery and weirdness, all culminating in a roller coaster ride that people should not be afraid to join in on. Read Full Review

Oct 15, 2026Doom Patrol is only in its second issue, but this series already feels like a very comfortable familiar pair of shoes making for a fun, relaxing journey wherever the road — or creative team — takes them. Read Full Review

Oct 14, 2026Equally mysterious and heartfelt, Doom Patrol #2 spends some much needed quality time with our lead trio before sending them off onto another adventure. Read Full Review

Oct 14, 2026New Gloom, Same Ol’ Doom (Patrol). A new mission brings out many reactions as a threat emerges from the darkness. Van Poelgeest teeters the drama with well placed humor. Henrichon & Gattoni hit major strides with the visual presentation. This is definition Doom Patrol! Read Full Review

Oct 18, 2026Darcy Van Poelgeest and Niko Henrichon continue to put the World’s Strangest Heroes through the wringer in a frantic issue of Doom Patrol. But underneath the quirky hijinks, there’s an emotional texture that comes out in Van Poelgeest’s prose and Henrichon’s linework. Read Full Review

Oct 18, 2026The Doom Patrol #2 is a bit of a mixed bag—the characters are presented as their classic selves, but so wrapped up in their own misery and constant bickering that it's hard to like them right now. It seems like this is just the opening of a reconstruction story, so I am hoping that is indeed the case and that it won't take too long to get there. The creative team is hitting the right nostalgia buttons, and the art is amazing, but that won't be enough to keep me around forever. Read Full Review

Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez
Oct 15, 2026The Doom Patrol #2 gets weirder and a bit confusing when Larry’s exposure to an alien results in new powers, and the team is sent on a mission to rescue a girl from a cult. Darcy Van Poelgeest’s script leans into the team’s brand of strange, sometimes at the expense of clarity, and Niko Henrichon’s heavily stylized art won’t be for everyone. Read Full Review

Glad to say that I enjoyed this one more than the first issue. Henrichon's art continues to be great, but I feel that Poelgeest stepped it up a little bit after said first issue. With that issue introducing a lot of people to these characters, Poelgeest is now able to really dive into the story he wants to tell with them, and I'm definitely invested. Very much looking forward to the next issue.
