Black Adam: Endless Winter Special #1 is the best issue of the crossover so far. Lanning and Marx have saved Adams fury until now, unleashing all of it in one comic. The fights are frantic and the stakes keep getting higher. And Black Adam is almost as much of a monster as the Frost King. For those who have event fatigue, know it's nice to see a story told in nine parts so quickly, and by that metric, "Endless Winter" succeeds. It tells its tale in a single month and it tells it with big superhero action. This is the comic for fans who want to enjoy their favorite DC Comics heroes apart from big continuity and it's a nice aside before things take a big swing as DC Future State kicks off in January. For that, this event works and this issue sets the pieces in place for what will assuredly be a rousing experience. Read Full Review
Black Adam: Endless Winter Special #1 " as this is a "filler" issue that features Black Adam, I would hope that DC would explore more of Black Adam and possibly feature an 8-12 issue run for him. While you'll get some great art and some big ol' fight scenes with a bunch of different characters, we've pretty much just padded this event out to this point, where here we set things up for the final battle, and while there is some action-y fun to be had here, it just really doesn't do enough and brings back concepts that were never really spelled out all that well to begin with.
