A number of other Flash villains have cameos as the story comes to a close in Iron Heights. The Rogues may be defeated, but the Flashs words to Captain Cold prove to have inspired a new direction for Len Snart. Read Full Review
I know that Detective Comics and Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps are getting all the attention, but right up there with them should be The Flash, which is one of the very best reads I dive into when the new issues come out! Fun, high-octane energy, surprises, challenges? Yup, all there, and all what you'd expect reading a comic focusing on the Fastest Man Alive. Read Full Review
The Flash #17 is a phenomenal entry. It gets to the heart of these two iconic characters, Captain Cold and The Flash, but also redefines them in new ways. Not only does it redefine these two characters, but it redefines The Rogues and their core principal. The action is highly engaging and entertaining with a wide bevy of different attacks. The Flash #17 is so good it demands you read it. Go and buy it now! Read Full Review
For old school fans, this was a classic Flash arc. With a speedster and The Rogues covered, I'm anxious to see what Williamson has in store for us next. Read Full Review
THE FLASH #17 brought out the best in the Flash and the worst in the Rogues. Simply put? This issue is rock solid. Or in Captain Cold's case 'ice solid.' Read Full Review
Plascencia is really this book's MVP at the end of the day. Read Full Review
As someone who considers the Mark Waid run to be the pinnacle of superhero comics, it has taken quite some time for me to warm up to the return of Barry Allen and the subsequent comics bearing his name. However, this has been a tremendous arc; action packed and full of nice character moments, and has turned this doubter into a firm believer. FLASH has sped to the top of my pull list, and it should be on yours too. Read Full Review
Once again, we see DC's Rebirth ethos of bringing back the classic while moving forward playout. This issue makes it clear that the Rogues, who are staple Flash villains, have returned as a major thorn in the Flash's side, but that they are now branching out into the deeper and darker world of organized crime. This should make for some interesting challenges for the Flash to overcome Read Full Review
This issue may not have wasted all the momentum going into it, but it didn't use it to it's advantage either. Unfortunately, we were left with what I thought was the weakest issue of this arc and while the cliffhanger promises a good time to come, it kind of made what came before it meaningless. I liked the art enough, but overall, but it couldn't save this issue from being just slightly above mediocre. Read Full Review
Great ending to the Rogues storyline, but I would have preferred that they had stayed good for a while longer. The arc has been great and Captain Cold is done exactly how I think he should be. The Rogues are neither evil nor good, but rather a mixture depending on the circumstances.
This issue is a satisfying conclusion to the best arc of this series yet, but it's not as enjoyable as the other parts of the story. The ending is quite rushed and the epilogue is rather too long. Still, the quality of this series is constantly improving. Another let down is that Di Giandomenico doesn't illustrate the entire chapter. The other artists are good, but not as good as Di Giandomenico, and the issue loses its unity.
