Great art but all setup for Metal part 2

Honestly not sure how to review this, it is so indescribably insane in its narrative that its hard to out into words what I just read but it sure was a heck of a time reading it. It doesnt take itself tok seriously at all even though its telling an incredibly bleak story but it works. Gotta read it to belive it.

Great! This and Mauraders are the best dawn of x books.

Tries too hard to be funny and fails.

This was a huge disappointment. There is no plot to this issue and left me thinking this is pointless and a waste of my time

The problem with this entire run is that it’s always ok. Never great, never bad just ok. That’s how I describe this issue just ok

You know, I love elseworlds. They aren't restricted by strict continuity rules of the main DC universe. What stops Superman's capsule from landing in CCCP? Or Joker going sane and becoming a politician, backed by one Harley and fought by another? Or Flash going back in time to save his mom, creating a dystopian world where Atlanteans and Amazons went to war with each other, and that war lead the world to the brink of absolute destruction?
King flirted with elseworlds before, just to mention the dystopian Gotham Booster Gold saw in this run. This time he introduced us to yet another weird "bad" continuity, simultaneously adding random parts with Bruce and Gotham Girl. What story he's trying to tell us exactly, I don't know. Not only because the comic is super convoluted, but because it probably is constructed this way, so we don't know what's going on til the very end.

I'm conflicted on this one, because it's so... random and disorganized. If anything, this should have been a part of the (failed) Knightmares arc, since it really feels like a fever dream.
So, what's next? I guess Batman impregnates Selina, and gets killed by Gotham Girl, since these two plot points remain unresolved. Other than that, I have no clue. I just want King to finish his run and step down. Just go away and make some space for a new writer who hopefully understands Batman as a character. more

I’m not wasting my money on a book with terrible dialogue and half baked ideas, incomplete story telling and changing character motivations. I’d rather spend my money on an indie book. I wish I picked up Kelly sue’s aquman when she started and dropped this then.

All i have to say is wow, this was great!! Marvel cosmic goodness at its best.

Exposition dump of an issue where King recaps everything that has happened from issue 1-50 of his run and explicitly tells us what he's doing because he thinks we are all stupid to not understand the greatness of his run so he needs to spoon feed us what he's doing. In the end this is another filler issue proving that he doesn't need 100 issues to tell his story.

Issue had good art. However we’ve already seen this not too long ago where he fights everyone in Arkham about Bane. The dialogue was awful, like always. Is there a panel with Man-Bat even though he’s in JLD

Main story is great but each story afterwards gets progressively worse. I will not be picking up the next issue bc I refuse to pay full price for a book that I only want to read 1/3 of

This was a fun issue, completely pointless and adds another month of nothing at all happening in this title, but fun. I would even go as far as to say it’s worth checking out.

The last assertion is saying a lot because this arc has been some of the worst writing in the title so far. Unfortunately due to its numbering it amounts to nothing but filler. If this were to have taken place before issue #50 it would have been great and a lighthearted addition building up to the much-anticipated nuptials. Regrettably it was not the case.

One of the best results that comes from this issue is that the next is #69. Nice.
It’s also the end of this piss-poor arc so that’s even Nicer.

Can’t wait for this arc to be over and actually see the story go somewhere, although I retain my apprehension about what King can deliver after it but hope it can improve. more

I can't believe that the guy that wrote vision and mister miracle is the same guy writing HiC. This issue is terrible. The dialogue continues to be juvenile, seriously why does every character have to insert like into every sentence. Also the transition from Mann's highly detailed art to a more cartoonish style doesn't work.

Dialogue is clunky. The main character is American but talks like a Brit. Story is ok and is supposed to grab fans of action comics but the last three pages have nothing to do with anything else and are there to give background on Wyrd but it's just thrown in and doesn't have a connection to anything. Writing was poor in my opinion. I will not be continuing with this.

I feel dumber for having read this dialogue. Every character speaks like a 12 year old. They know words but not how to structure them in a sentence or say the same thing 5 different ways. Also to beat the flash all you have to do is say what's that. What is he a dog. How stupid is his rogues gallery to not figure that out.
I like how superman is making a speech to the world and ends it by saying the heroes are fighting for the American way. Way to know your audience.

4/10 the art was great and that's all. Probably why half this issue is splash pages bc the story doesn't offer anything. more

Great iron fist story so well done

Much better than the previous issue and a decent one shot. Story doesn't progress but atleast it refers to issue 60. The ending is interesting hopefully there is a good payoff. Art was great.

14 year old me would love this book. Too bad I'm not 14

This was better than the last issue. A couple of problems with the art/script as the police try to arrest him, he is the first one to make a move and attack, and later they say it was the cops that attacked first which isn't shown in the art. They tried to show systemic racism in the police system but fail to actually show that properly on the story.

This issue is fine. My biggest problem with the series is that it is very slow moving. I'm trade waiting this series now as this will read better in trade than singles.
