Flash #32
| Writer | Ryan North |
| Artist | Gavin Guidry |
| Cover Price | $3.99 |
Okay, so maybe Flash’s world has gone crazy, and maybe he’s having to run around the city several times a minute just to save people from themselves, but at least things can’t get worse, right? I don’t know why people still use that rhetorical construction. Every time you say, “At least things can’t get worse,” you’re just setting things up to get way worse, Wally! In this issue: escalating stakes! Flashes of insight! And a strange and unexpected team-up that brings Flash and Captain Cold together…with the fate of Central City hanging in the balance! Told you things could get worse. Sheesh, Wally. Come on.

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Apr 22, 2026There are a little bits and little flashes of personality around the edges that make the issue all the more appealing. Barry takes out a classified ad, and we see some of the other classifieds around the edges of the newspaper. North does a really good job of bringing out the personality of the DC universe. It's something that's so often overlooked in the comics. The fact that things are going to be fundamentally different in these worlds. But they're going to be extremely familiar. And bringing that to the page in a way that feels sparkling witty is always a lot of fun. Read Full Review

Fanlight Zone - Ken M.
Apr 22, 2026The power of social media might be too much for Wally West to overcome in this thought provoking chapter. North poses the challenges of public safety vs reality with an excellent script. Guidry and Lucas puts the pressure on Wally with strong visuals. This current run is all Flash, No Brakes! Read Full Review

Apr 22, 2026The Flash #32 is a quintessential superhero story with daring heroics, high stakes, and a protagonist who will stop at nothing to defend the innocent. The 2nd issue of Ryan North’s run is even better than his first! I haven’t laughed this hard at a Flash comic in decades, if ever. The various escalating attempts by people to throw themselves in harm’s way and win $10,000 when Flash saves them is a hysterically insane, and funny, premise that soon overwhelms Wally despite his best efforts to stop the madness. Additionally, we get Captain Cold thrown into the mix for even more humor. Things turn serious, quickly, near the end when a major threat to the city presents itself.North and Guidry make an excellent team here. In addition to the brilliant visuals, the dialogue is clever and witty as well. I am ecstatic that we seem to have a new permanent team on the book that will make things fun a more

The plot of people risking their lives to earn a few bucks might seem far-fetched (and in a way, it is), but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in real life. Alienated people desperate for money are a dangerous combination. A fun issue. it’s good to read Flash again.
