Someone has hidden a nuke in Central City, and the Flash has minutes to find it before it goes off! Just one problem: Wally’s already checked everywhere. In fact, he’s actually been checking everywhere over and over for days due to the “putting yourself in danger” trend that’s been making his life a huge pain! But if the Flash can’t find the bomb alone, at least he’s got the help of his brilliant wife Linda, along with the aid of…Captain Cold? That can’t be right—can it? The clock is ticking. Plus: Wally’s mysterious Flashes of Insight escalate!

I loved the ending The Flash #33 delivers on this 3-issue arc. There is a beautiful blend of humor and intensity as the stakes are higher than ever. Anytime a billionaire gets taken down is a good day in my book. The little glimpses into Wally’s life, if he ever were a villain, got a chuckle from me. It’s a smartly written and detailed issue that injects a whole new life into this run. Read Full Review

Time is running out on Wally West as a nuclear bomb is set to explode faster than a viral moment. North peels back the layers of the Flash to showcase his true strengths. Guidry and Lucas craft excellent peeks at the chaos swirling around Central City. All Flash, No Brakes indeed! Read Full Review

A good conclusion to this mini-arc. It’s nice to have a mainline monthly Flash book that’s pleasant to read and even look at. The art is good and the writing worked for me too, most of the comedic bits landed well, and the conflict resolution involved Linda, which is always a good thing.

My issue with this run so far is this: everyone is happy, and I need Hunter (Zoom) to show up to make things even more interesting. I say this mostly because of the descriptions for upcoming issues, which seem to insist that 'everything is perfect,' but this issue was good regardless.

The story is a bit silly - he was going to nuke Central City for make himself rich? - but otherwise this is surprisingly fun for a story with the near-destruction of a city. North has really struck the right tone for Wally.
