Green Arrow #31 is one of the most memorable comics of the year and is the perfect standalone story. Read Full Review
Green Arrow #31 exists as an anomaly. It is a short, sweet, and to the point story in a run that normally took its time in unfolding. It proves to me that, given time, Condon and Montos could have made this into an all-time great run, with a little more time and shorter story arcs. I mourn for what might have been, but am grateful for what we got. Read Full Review
This run of Green Arrow deserved a much longer stint, but if there's any satisfaction in its conclusion it's that the team can look back and reflect that they've told what should be considered one of the strongest tenures of Green Arrow. Read Full Review
The character doesn't seem to always be able to sustain an ongoing, but there's something that really sets him apart from other DC heroes, and I think this final issue perfectly captured it. Read Full Review
don't put out perfect scores. But I think this is my definitive Green Arrow run. Yes, I love Joshua Williamson's run on Green arrow. he's one of my favorite writers of all time. But Chris Condon surpassed my expectations, and I love his writing for Oliver Queen. It's a shame that this run was so short, but it ended on a high note. This is just a standalone story, but this is a run that I will be re-reading multiple times. I sometimes mourn and wonder what would happen if Chris Condon continued his Green Arrow run like how Jeremy Adams was supposed to continue. But I'm glad this run end on a high note.
So sad this run is over
Lo and behold, Condon writes the best issue of his run for the series finale. Still wasn’t perfect, but it carried more emotional resonance than his previous issues all combined. This series launched with a great run by Williamson and healthy sales. I’m sorry that it didn’t last longer, but I continued to support it even after Williamson left with the abrupt change in direction. Here’s to Absolute Green Arrow in 2026! See ya there!
