Justice Society of America: Ragnarok #4 is a pure movement of an unfolding story. It is a wonderful show of how a story can be moved forward quickly but not overload or become confusing. Peril is the name of the game, look forward to seeing you next issue friends. Read Full Review
I'm looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds in the next issue. Read Full Review
Lemire is very comfortable working with a large cast, and while this is a very different kind of JSA book, it's no less compelling than the previous run. Read Full Review
Overall, JSA #4 is a promising chapter that builds upon the strong foundation established in the previous issues. It's a must-read for fans of the JSA and those who enjoy stories that blend mystery, action, and character drama. Read Full Review
JSA #4 is easily the best issue of the series so far. The characters seem to be more important, and Todd especially benefits. The entire storyline has a better feel and is just more enjoyable than the first three issues combined. The construction of this story from issue #1 has been awkward and not always worked, but going forward there is the sense that things are on the upswing. Read Full Review
Dr. Mid-Nite is the last hope for the JSA in this fast-moving chapter. Lemires writing brings out a new side to the young hero. Vasquez, Guerrero and Wands construct very sleek superhero themed art as the ed of days approach DCs classic team. Definition superhero storytelling which is always a crowd pleaser. Read Full Review
JSA #4is a serviceable issue that showcases Dr. Mid-Nite's talents as a hero. Jeff Lemire's script gives Mid-Nite plenty to do while explaining (sort of) what happened to Obsidian and Jakeem, which is a positive. The best issue so far. There was some proper tension building and menace in this issue. I preferred the art as well.
This is the escape from capativity issue. I think they could have divided this two plot points up into two different issues so it didn't seem repetitive. The Dr. Mid-Nite is the stronger storyline though I don't buy her literally dodging bullets. I'm going to stick with it, but this should be a mini-series as I don't feel like there's a big story here.
