With only two issues to go before Johns wraps his run here and his time at DC as a whole, there's a lot to resolve, and I kind of wish more of this run was about the classic JSA characters and his favorites like Stargirl, instead of so many of the villains. But he's weaving a pretty compelling story here, and one with a lot of unanswered questions. Justice Society of America #10 brings some of the various plot elements together as Johns does appear to have something in mind for his finale with issue #12. There are lots of elements in this run that can and deserve to be explored further. No matter how much Johns leaves on the table when he departs, what he has included has been an example of how to write good comics by touching on history with substance and making it fun. Right now, as a reader, I cannot predict what will happen next and that is rare indeed. I WANT to know what is coming and that is part of the draw of this series. Seeing the JSA in action is exciting, but this issue reads too quickly, leaving you with quite the build-up of emotions. The rift between the team concerning the Golden Age Legionnaire has such potential for character drama, but it is cut short by the cliffhanger ending. Hopefully, the following two issues will be rich and timely so that the New Golden Age can end this arc on a high note. Read Full Review

Justice Society Of America #10 is a short and sweet chapter to show how well (or not) young Mordru is acclimating to life as a member of the JSA. Geoff Johns gives readers an enjoyable mix of action, surprises, emotional beats, and at least one wow moment, but the long delays between issues, and the jarring art change mid-issue is a downer. It's going to be more difficult for many people to follow. But it's still really fun. There is such an intensity of activity that goes into every single page in the issue that it just feels like it could've been a handle better, but it doesn't feel as awkward as the larger group scenes in so many of the mega crossovers that DC has put to the page in the past, including about Crisis theyve ever published. Johns knows what hes doing, but what hes doing is for a decidedly smaller subset of the comic book reading public than most mainstream comics. Read Full Review
