To be honest, I did like the issue because Sean Ryan's script told a fun story, but the details felt weak and unrealistic to me. Combine that with the fact that the cover to this issue is completely misleading, and the problems emerge one by one. If I could give this issue a 10 out of 10 for pre-teen Joker twins and a teenage Deathstroke, I would. But even though there are several appearances of characters that will make you either laugh out loud, chuckle in embarrassment, or freak out in excitement, New Suicide Squad: Futures End amounts to nothing more than an action-fest with little emotional or meaningful impact on the larger narrative. Overall: I was really disappointed with this issue, and I'm honestly concerned about the direction that they plan on taking this book. Aside from Lawton's opening and closing piece, there's really nothing worthwhile here unless you want to see experiments gone wrong and clones having it out with one another. Aside from some of the visuals, nothing really won me over or made me feel like this is something that should be read even though it's essentially a one-shot. I was torn between 2 and 3-stars, but seeing as my reactions on this issue are mostly negative, I have to side with the lower score. Maybe some of you will think the changes are a twisted delight and you'll have a blast with the short adventure. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me. Read Full Review

I'm not mad Sean, I'm just disappointed. The buildup from the last issues just made for an even bigger let down for this one-shot that packed a lot of potential. I will say that there are some graphically violent panels, one that makes me cringe even thinking about it so kudos to Coelho. Hopefully we get back on track with issue #3 next month. I was very optimistic about the story when I Waller laid out her mission to Deadshot and explained his "injury" ....that all ended with "fishstick" . There were some fun ideas presented and Andre Coelho does a nice job with the over the top violence but it just didn't come together in end.
