Super Sons #9 brings this story arc to a close and while I was shaky on it at the start, I loved the way they brought this to an end. This story was full of action, emotion, and showed what it means to be a hero when you rise to the occasion. Staring at what looks like the end of the world may stop some heroes cold in their tracks, but the Super Sons along with Big Shot, Hard Line, and an unlikely ally pulled off the impossible. Still this is a bittersweet closure. The boys wonder what is happening on that world right now. They know their friends are locked in battle. That isn't a win. A hero isn't always victorious. So good character moments in a plot that I thought was too convoluted. The art was dynamic and thrilling as it usually is. So still enjoyable. Read Full Review

Coming off an unclear plot direction, the rather abrupt ending and dissonant art make this the weakest issue of Super Sons yet. There are individual moments and character beats that are incredibly strong, along with some amazing visuals from Jorge Jimenez, but it never gets to be enough to make the issue great. This is a book that I hate to disparage, as it's still entertaining and has great potential. Hopefully the creative team realizes that potential and is able to bring the boys back on track from here on out, because I still want to love Super Sons. Read Full Review

An uncharacteristically clumsy issue for Super Sons, with some editorial problems that show through the final product. The abrupt change in artists is upsetting and takes the reader out of the story. Tomasis pacing here faltered, with too much exposition for a final issue. The final page is rewarding enough for this issue not to be such a big disappointment. A really fun read. I didn't like the change of the artist midway through that much but it was alright.

Sorry I wasn't there anymore. I tried hard, but no ... That was my list issue. This ongoing wasn't what I expected at all !
