    Major Spoilers - Christopher Rondeau

I was happy to finally see Matt get some spotlight. Seeing him talk about his family, approach other characters, and really see his struggle with his abilities was something I have been anticipating for a while and it was delivered well. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Mikkel Snyder

Die is vying for the top spot of comics in 2019, and as the track record shows, I'm very inclined just to give it the title. Every issue manages to show a different facet of reality and every issue retains such a high quality narrative and visual, you'd be denying yourself a great joy reading it. Although, maybe that's the type of Knight you are. Read Full Review

Beyond The Panel - Jideobi Odunze

    Oct 02, 2019

It seems like a thing now where with each passing issue they choose one character more than any other to get to know better. It wasn't easy to see at first who they chose this time around, but when the time came? I'm glad it was Matt. His story, his power, and what he's fighting for is all-compelling. The message was well received through the events of Die #8 seeing just how much some of these characters have grown since the decisions they made the last time they were in this world. But Why Tho? - Max Funkey

    Oct 04, 2019

While I thoroughly enjoyed DIE #8 I have to admit that it started off fairly slow. The divergent stories of the split party have made it somewhat difficult to keep track of the events of the story. That being said, the story is still worth following. With every passing issue, these characters have more life breathed into them. It is becoming increasingly unlikely that they will have a happy ending and the more we learn of them the more tragic that becomes. Read Full Review

THE GOOD: -This is just a great series. Maybe the best current series I'm reading. I don't know, this one and Gideon Falls are just neck and neck. -Man, Stephanie Hans is really something. Everything just has such life. It's also a rarity for a paint-based internal artist that isn't Alex Ross to not make everything look stiff and lifeless when getting so lost in the detail. -I just really love this world. It never gets too cliche but keeps things interesting. -These characters are wonderful. It just says something about your writing talent when you can make an issue that's primarily conversation and it's still great. -Matt's always been an interesting character to me, even if thus far he hasn't been front and center. I like this run, but I feel way to much stuff is going on. It gets really confusing. I think if I reread it or read it in a trade I would like it more.
