Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty continues the upward trajectory of Cold War and might be one of the best action events of the summer. Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzings writing is fantastic, Alina Erofeeva and Nolan Woodards art and colors are amazing and Joe Caramagnas letters are stellar, and this event is absolutely worth checking out! Erofeeva delivers some beautifully detailed, stylish and exciting art throughout the issue. The visuals do a wonderful job of enhancing the action of the story as well as the emotions of the characters. Read Full Review
This crossover's external stakes have been great, but the internal conflict feels lacking. Read Full Review
Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #12 delivers plenty of solid fighting action, good dialog, and quality art to bring the Captains closer to Dimension Z. That said, the omnipotent Outer Circle is suddenly showing cracks under the pressure, which feels like a contrived convenience. Read Full Review
So far this crossover hasn't showcased the strength of either title, but this is better than the first two parts.

I'm so cold on this event. Only few issues to go but the pacing, dialogue from Kelly and Lanzing is just not hitting the spot and the art just didn't work for me. To be fair though some action scenes were well illustrated and retro panels to Dimension Z were well planned and colored nicely by Woodard but I've been spoiled by Carnero and she is missed here.
Having our heroes fighting through a blizzard for most of the issue is all too appropriate. There's some good panels and some good lines in here, but it feels like the characters are adrift in an arbitrary plot that's developing without any visible logic.
I think this is probably one of those issues that goes down a lot smoother when you read the arc/event all at once, but as usual, I'm rating it on its own merits--and those seem pretty modest.
Fight, fight, fight. Nothing else happens and the event is already coming to an end.
