Comic Watch - Ryan White
Sep 16, 2026As I said, this issue is pedal to the metal and ends abruptly, and I am not saying that is a bad thing. The issue uses the metaphor well to show the many threats and the uncertainty of what Elektra may or may not do with whatever is in this book. Matt is no stranger to playing the long game, so I cannot wait to see how this plays out. As far as everything else, the artwork is gorgeous, and the paneling is perfect, going from the hectic car chases to the the comedic timing of the tracksuit mafia, who are just so useless but think they are the real threat; it's great. Sep 18, 2026Daredevil #7 is a good all-action issue that sets up yet another mystery or two for Matt Murdock to deal with. His stubborn and self-destructive nature is on full display here and helps drive the story forward, and we get to see him in action against an interesting variety of different hoods and gangsters. I'd still like to see a bit more of a balance between the Matt Murdock and the Daredevil parts, and even though the art is better this month, I still miss Lee Garbett. Read Full Review

The first issue from Phillips’ run that was a disappointment. Nothing much happens.

You think you're done with this series, but foolishly think the next issue will be better. Somehow we love this feeling of hope. Of course we can be dissappointed but maybe, just maybe, we get blown away and feel like kings.
Sadly, we, the buyers of this comic issue won't be crying victory or feel like Kings.
The art is sometimes amazingly drawn, but it just misses details and probably needed more time. You can tell Flaviano has the potential to be awesome. But this, this feels rushed.
Speaking about Rushed, the pace is also very very rushed. Felt like driving a F1 car. Treating marvel villans with a one page or panel. What is happening here? It such a short read with not a lot of content.

Plot
Daredevil manages to save the messenger—who is carrying Kingpin’s mysterious diary—from various attacks, naturally with the help of the Owl.
However, Matt does not anticipate the intervention of Elektra, who has now taken possession of the diary; the narrative dynamic centers on this escape, with little else of significance occurring.
Art
This issue marks the debut of artist Flaviano, who delivers a much more organic visual style rich in linework that lends the art a classic dynamism; it is an interesting shift that establishes a grittier tone.

Elektra arrives to shake things up. -
