Gail has been weaving a pretty interesting story for Domino so far. She has been delving into her past which I know nothing about and I look forward to learning more. She has given her some colorful and interesting friends to play off of and a mystery surrounding them. She has also interwoven some pretty good action and humor. The art and coloring is just gorgeous. My only problem is how similar Domino's story is to X-23 but that still has time to change or go in a different direction. Read Full Review

Domino #3 is another fun issue that puts the solider of fortune to the test. You would think that life is easy when you have the power to practically have everything go your way, and then you pick up this series to find out that you would be wrong. This shake-up to her life and relationships is clever when most who handle this character might fall victim to Deadpool-like mercenary shenanigans. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp

In terms of the larger themes, Domino continues to fret that one of her two best friends may be selling her out to her new enemies. As I'm not as sold on her compatriots, this part of the comic hasn't yet won me over. That said, I did enjoy Amadeus Cho's guest-appearance as he seems to fit into the mold of interesting characters who too often don't find themselves in interesting stories which Gail Simone is usually able to quickly rectify. And the tease about who Domino goes to in order to learn to better control her powers against Topaz's attacks does peak my interest. Worth a look. Read Full Review

Domino's backstory starts informing her present Topaz problem. Amadeus Cho sends her on a fascinating mission to master her luck powers, and her characterization at the start of this issue - her fury at Topaz - is highly persuasive. Generally superb art also helps make this feel extra-special; while it's not without flaws, they are eminently forgivable.

As a first time reader of Domino, I was happy with how easy this comic was to follow. I jumped right in and didn't feel lost at all. This issue gave us a glimpse into Domino's past as she tries to figure out what is happening to her powers and whose behind everything. Her origin story is very generic; however I liked how the past scenes were black and white and the present scenes were in vibrant colors. It was a good reflection of how Domino's life started out in a dark place but became brighter as she created a new life with her friends. Speaking of friends, we get a fun background into how Domino met her posse, Inez and Outlaw. We also got some good interactions between Domino and Amadeus Cho. I really loved Amadeus in this is more
