Chip Zdarksy is their best (and his Cap is just so so).

I found this 3 issue story to be really entertaining and in a way a perfect showcase of how a classic doom/f4 story would play out written by North.
What i want to say is that this story carry over all of north quirks that make this run so spectacular, even more so to an extent. it's definitely more consise, it's tense and it's overtop. Some decisions would not make sense in the plot, it may look like plot holes but those decisions are fruit of how animated, how ridicolous are those character. Ofc doom could get rid completely of the 4, it would be easier to do even than scheme such a master plan, but we talk about ego, of pomposity , all things that make way more sense to the character that North writes. what i am getting to i more
Plot
This comic supports the ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM event.
The rather damaged Time Sled arrives at the Fantastic Four's country house on the morning of that day, where Doctor Doom sends them to all eras of time.
The Fantastic Four and their children try to decipher a Braille inscription that explains what is going to happen, and then they realize that Doom has a device that prevents time travel so no one can stop his rise to power.
In Antarctica, this device, a mixture of magic and quantum theory, prevents time travel. Doctor Doom confronts them, and Johnny tells Reed and his team that he uses fire, which appears transparent because it glows in the infrared spectrum. He tells Reed that he must change the more
Well, this was better than the first two issues, which isn’t much of an accomplishment. There were a few fun moments that actually felt like an FF comic. Plus, I found myself enjoying Ramos’s artwork in some of the action scenes. It fails miserably whenever faces are involved though. All in all, I still think Ryan North is not good for this - or any - book. But that’s the problem with all of Marvel - there are no good writers anymore.
Fantastic Four #3 was better than the previous issue ... but that’s not saying much. The plot was fine and the “defeat” of Doom was interesting - but apparently will have zero affect on the Doom crossover event. The book was competently written and the plot made sense (even though it was tied to time-travel) however the characters (with a few exceptions) are entirely off. If you changed the costumes and names - a reader couldn’t tell this was the Fantastic Four. For decades the characters could clearly be tied to their Lee/Kirby origins, writers respected what had come before … but in the 21st century I guess anything goes. If you want to read a perfect take on Ben Grimm, The Thing - avoid this series and check out the recent Thinmore
Continuing from last issue's "The Vat of Acid" plot, Vic continues to use save points to beat the odds. A clever strategy for Vic Sanchez - er, I mean Vic Von Doom.
The time sled is surveyed and depite it being covered in flames, Sue and Alicia are both able to touch it without a singe. Turns out Sue was able to write a book in braille in the fraction of a second she had last issue to explain what Doomsie is up to.
Johnny's mustache continue to dumb him down in both appearance and intellect even more whilst it's not the FF but rather Alicia and two kids that come up with a plan of action.
Meanwhile, Reed uses his Ryan North made up power to stretch his eyeballs and mouth into comical contortions - anyway more
