It all comes together for a very entertaining story that feels a lot like a classic Spider-Man tale from an earlier era. Read Full Review
Spider-Man dies for a page as a gambit to flush out an assassin. It's a solid story with plenty of plot-work for the "friendly neighborhood" to do, and also a lot of great humor. It moves fast and every step is a pleasure. It's not quite an epic for the ages, but it has a strong lock on winning your personal "most fun read of the week" trophy.
Spidey threatening to eat dudes is so pure to me.
What a shock that the cover baited media outlets to really think that spider man would die in this issue. I remember seeing that comic book.com article pop up on social media and immediately was like no. That said, even though spider man's "death" is extremely predictably wrong, the rest of the issue reads great with witty Peter/Spider-Man, more of the Mary Jane and Peter relationship, which is great (Marvel please please undo OMD, even though I know it'll be dragged out and not happen), and even a team up with another group that I love. The art is good, have no complaints there. Tom Taylor and chip Zdarsky are the best spider man writers at marvel right now

Pretty good issue, just wish it was longer.
