It is so difficult to make reader care for the villain of the story but Zdarsky and his creative team find a way to do just that. Read Full Review
Invaders #6 concludes the first story arc in dramatic fashion. Amazing storytelling and characterization, and fantastic art make it a comic book everyone should be reading. Read Full Review
After multiple installments in the series that told us more than they showed, this chapter paid off some of that building tension between Cap and Namor and delivered us some surprising results. Read Full Review
A great finale that makes this arc feel oddly a lot like Winter Soldier.
So good.
What a way to end the first arc! Loving how mature this book is, definitely one of Marvel's best books at the moment.
Well Zdarsky just keeps delivering. I never thought I'd be reading all of his stuff and loving his dramas. Magno and Guice are tight in their work and fit well in their respective worlds.
Not what I was expecting, but it was more than welcome.
This arc wraps up as a bleak but compelling portrait of Namor and a rare defeat for Captain America.
I am a big fan of the Original Torch and the writer has done little with him in this series. Zdarsky does not seem to know much about the Torch's character. He is android with blood, organs, etc. He has stood toe -to-toe with some of the strongest in the Marvel Universe (including the Submariner). I am glad the character is still "alive" but he seems little more than a plot device to show how far off the "deep end" Namor has gone.
