Carmen Carnero masterfully builds the tension in the story through the art. It is beautifully detailed and full of awesome action. Read Full Review
The whole thing is anchored by artist Carmen Carnero and colorist David Curiel, who are able to bring Miles' world into the King in Black aesthetic while still making it all feel consistent visually (though a bit of whiplash compared to the style in issue #22). Read Full Review
Another King in Black tie-in, another fight with a symbiote dragon. What does Miles bring to this fight we've seen dozens of times? Read Full Review
Good to have Carnero back on art duty. Been waiting for a proper crossover for Miles and Kamala and this did not disappoint. Now begins the wait for part two next month.
It's a bit short, but not longer than needed. It works very well as a tie-in and the art is great.
Miles discovers his venom blasts are strong against Knull's symbiotes -- which is handy when he has to throw down against Knullified Ms. Marvel. The plot zips by too fast, and this issue's depiction of how symbiote dragons work runs contrary to every other depiction. But set those points aside and this is a good, fun comic. Ms. Carnero's Knullified Kamala looks awesome.
Even though I don't mind it myself, I admit this issue hands a pretty strong example to the "Miles always venom blasts his problems away" critics.
" Always."
- SPIDER MAN (MILES MORALES)
Extremely quick read, but written well for what it was. Also, uh, I'm pretty sure the symbiote dragons are just symbiotes? Not actually dragons controlled by symbiotes? Don't know how that got confused here.
Very quick read, which I approve of.
I didnt mind it at all. It was more than ok but it did bother me that theres about 4 pages of miles telling kamala she can get through the symbiote. It just kind of bothered me a little. Overall another good installment just nothing thats must read.
Great art.
Also, did Miles literally pacified a symbiote dragon? I don't think that's how they work Saladin, but I did liked the idea.
