Miles Morales: Spider-Man #3 is a book filled with frantic energy. A fabulous story is unfolding as the comic opens up and gets deeper into the plot. The speed at which it moves is extremely fun. All the teenage characters have personalities that show what is common in people when they reach that strange crest of life, one where it is impossible to have it all figured out. Read Full Review
I love that we got Rabble's backstory and origin, and that she's not some pre-existing character looking to get revenge on Miles Morales. Read Full Review

Vicentini delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. The visuals are fun, thrilling and engaging. I wish the story was half as good as the art was. Read Full Review
Frankly, the story bored me a bit, and therefore I did not write-up about the 3rd issue. But after reading the 4th issue, I decided to write-up for the 3rd issue.
Let's get the ball Rolling. 3th issue's opening pages are starts with flashbacks of the Villain’s origin story. Miles finds himself facing a dangerous new villain who knows everything about him! A young woman who wants to destroy Miles personally. A young woman calling herself The Rabble. Yes, you will meet Rabble. Without spoilers, how can I describe what you will see and read in this issue about the Rabble... okay I got it. Every villain needs their origin story and that’s what we get in issue #3 with Rabble. She didn’t want to lash out at the world or have some more
This has not only been one of the best spider-man comics that have come out, but also one of the comics that Marvel has released.
It's curious that Miles Morales has better comics than Peter Parker and other important characters. Hopefully the series can keep up with the pace it has up to now.
Getting better!
Congrats to Ziglar & Vicentini for pulling off a hat trick of three amazing issues so far!
Glad I guessed right about the key reason Rabble has it out for Miles but her origin story is still a gut punch to the feels and succeeds with having me related to, and even sympathize with her. Yet the writing is smart enough to make sure she's being called out on how she's taking this way too far. So far the writing and art is keeping the early hot streak of this run going, with signs of it about to ramp up. And Misty Knight is an absolute delight!
The art is dynamic as all hell, and the script makes plenty of room to let it breathe. That makes the overall pace very speedy, perhaps even too fast.
The pieces and parts used to advance the plot and develop the characters (particularly Raneem) are all off-the-shelf stuff. Nothing revolutionary.
Yet they're assembled with utmost skill, doing a perfect job of making the new antagonist compelling and threatening. Some of the dialogue is downright exquisite, particularly in the first 2 scenes.
First thing's first, I think the origin for Rabble was fairly simple, yet also well-executed. It's not anything particularly profound or unique, but it's still a solid backstory that makes you have some sympathy towards the story's villain. Everything else here was good as well, although I will have to label this as the weakest issue of the series yet. I still enjoyed this a good amount, but the rest of the story was a bit lacking when compared to the first two issues in my opinion. However, I'm still digging this story and I'm looking forward to what comes next.
Miles Morales is just a good superhero book. It's got charm, fun, action and some stakes. It makes it feel good to read it.
Most idiotic villain motivation ever?
