Punisher #2 has endless amounts of adrenaline. Once the action starts, there’s no telling when it will stop. Read Full Review
Working in tandem with Watchers artwork maintains that balance, as the action beats sell the fantastical while the tighter character moments humanize this new Punisher in a way that many action oriented stories are lacking. Layer in Browns oscillating color palettes that evoke the realism of Marvel streets and high flying adventures of superspies, and the book delivers on the promise of a compelling read. This issue affirms that Punisher is a perfect place for new, lapsed, and consistent Marvel readers alike, making the most of its premise, titular legacy, and opportunity to do something original in an interconnected universe. The team assembled for this run is working in one solid fluid unit. The story has action and thriller aspects to it with some really deep cuts character wise. The shocking revelation in the end brings the whole world of Joe crashing down and invokes emotion and sympathy from the reader. The action is top notch, and I love the teases we get for the next issue like a Saturday morning cartoon. Read Full Review
Punisher #2 is a hell of a second issue that changes up the character enough to make Joe Garrison stand apart from all of the others who have worn the skull. It also keeps the mystery going as to who was behind the murders making it all the more exciting to see who will next to be punished. Read Full Review
Like with Punisher #1, the series is good but still hasn't quite found its own voice to make it different. Read Full Review
A former professional killer, Joe Garrison's background and experiences are incredibly common story beats, almost clich, but matched with above-average art. Marvel should really give this a long-term chance. Read Full Review
Punisher #2 delivers a tried and true Punisher story, which is both positive and negative. On the positive side, the scenario, the art, and the character work feel like an authentic Punisher comic. On the negative side, Joe Garrison may as well be a Frank Castle clone because nothing about this version of Punisher sets him apart, including the plot. Read Full Review
Pepose continues to raise the story's tension level with shocking revelations and a dynamic, fast-paced narrative.
Art
It has many textures and details that offer a gloomy and dramatic tone in a context of extreme violence and blood.
Summary
As Joe Garrison discovers the painful truth about the origin of the attack that wiped out his family, the trail of death he leaves in his wake continues to grow with more anger and efficiency.
While bullets fly and bones crunch, this issue delves deeper, exploring the complexities of Joe Garrison and continuing to build-up a surprisingly relatable protagonist. David Pepose has seemingly proved everyone wrong with an immensely interesting new character who many thought would be a cardboard cut-out stand-in for Frank Castle. Instead, we’re getting a new voice that already feels completely organic and understandable, with a story that has plenty of of homages to classic Punisher tales. I’ve been highly impressed and already want more.

It's pretty decent. There's not much wrong with it. There's just nothing that make it feel epic. Which is fine for now. It does have moments that feel like a Punisher book of old, just needs a little more excitement.
I like the set up for the Offer, but then he sees the Joe during his mission. However, suddenly all of the action switches to the Offer's apartment where he has to fight the "Night Club." He takes them all out quite easily. I did like the fight with Taskmaster's daughter, but why didn't he keep the glove and why were the baddies all split up. It makes no sense.
Dropping the Offer from twenty stories in the air, regardless of the awning and car would make him quite dead. I hope this series gets better.

Cringe dialog, cringe villains, cringe hero. I love the punisher, but this is bad. Plus, it's $5 and the same number of pages when was a lot cheaper.
Drivel.
