Charles Soule and Giuseppe Camuncoli have long since proven that a second Darth Vader comic was a wise move on Marvel's part. This series is just as skilled as its predecessor when it comes to subtly illuminating the man underneath Vader's armor. This iteration of Vader has another very solid issue that, like the series, builds to its strengths the more the issue goes on. The pacing here is very engaging and I like the use of so many different elements, particularly the Clone Troopers and just how much of an unknown Vader is at this point as his reputation is only beginning. The artwork is strong throughout and I really liked the abrupt end to Nu herself as it felt like a very Vader thing to do in how he deals with her. There's a lot of gray in the mix here as you can imagine that even though he's become this thing that he's still struggling with the war within him as that little bit of good peeks out from time to time. It just makes me more excited to see where this series can go " and leaves me hopeful someone will pick up on that rifle concept and run with it. Read Full Review

Incredible issue. It honestly feels like Charles Soule is getting stronger and stronger as this comic goes. Its brings an interesting end to this story and Darth Vader continues to evolve as he grows as a Sith. I love this comic.

This series is awesome. But this issue is breaking what I deem to be continuity. Why would the troopers turn on Vader when a Jedi names him as Anakin? Why would Vader destroy the list of force sensitive? Dude, killed younglings in episode 3! Shit, he destroyed a whole village 3 issues ago. Maybe someone else can set me straight and explain why he'd destroy the list. Otherwise, this issue gets a low rating. You cannot pussyfoot around with the most badass character ever.

1.) They didn't turn on him because the robot identified him. They turned on him because they saw a lightsaber, and were uninformed about his description by the head officer, which is why Vader killed him afterwards. 2.) I don't know why he destroyed the list, but that makes it more interesting, for me at least, because it raises questions that could possibly be answered in later issues.

I believe he destroyed the list because Jocasta said Sideous wanted to use it to make more apprentices, Vader already doesn't like the Inquisitors because he wants the only sith in the galaxy to be the both of them, so he decides to destroy the list so Sideous couldn't get it. At least that's my take away from it.

@VGCinema that seems the most reasonable and I hate it. I want to believe that Vader doesn't want to share Sideous because he views him as a source for true power. But, to me, Vader's always had this misplaced sense of loyalty. I fear he doesn't want to share Sideous because deep down he's still that whiney bitch, Anakin, and Sideous is a father figure to him.
